My daughter had a tingling in her feet and a weird feeling from head to toe. Then she tasted blood and develped a headache.A day later she was cleaning her ear with a q-tip and found blood on it. She still isn't feeling well.

PLEASE take her to the doctor as soon as possible!

Don't try to treat her for an ear infection, or any thing else when NO one can say definitively she has an ear infection, when they can not see her, and can not take a proper medical history.

You said she has "tingling in her feet and feeling weird from head to toe" "tasted blood and developed a headache" she needs to see a doctor, to have a REAL medical history taken.

Uh, you need to get her to a doctor. That sounds serious. A headache and a tingly feeling might be some nerve issues. The ear blood could be somethign very serious, or it could just be that she has some superficial cut in her ear. You shouldn't let her stick q-tips in her ears. The wax will work itself out and can be cleaned up near the opening of the ear. Using a q-tip will only pack it in tighter and can lead to ear infections. Ears clean themselves - they don't need help.

Get her to the doctor immediately!! Could be a number of things here. Aneurysm ruptured next to the ear canal which cuts off circulation to certain parts of the nervous system that caused the tingling. Virus, high blood pressure, maybe even exposure to rat poison which breaks down the cell walls of the blood vessels causing you to bleed from every orifice.

Your best bet here.........emergency room now!!

Hi Cheryl

Here is how to take care of an ear infection.

Cause
Sometimes earaches are caused by infection, cold in the head, a blow to the side of the head, and many other causes.

Herbal Aids
1.Garlic: Earache, inflammation of the middle ear, ear disease: Pack a small clove of garlic in gauze and place into the external ear passage; or drop 4-5 drops of oil into the ear channel, cover with flannel, and keep warm.

2.Rue: Warm and place several drops of compound oil into the ear.

3.Mullein: Use warm mullein oil, 2-3 drops in the ear 2-3 times daily. Apple cider vinegar is also a healing agent.

4.Hops: Apply a flannel bag of hops, and moist heat over the affected area.

5.Treat Both Ears: The simple, old-fashioned aids are sometimes very fast in giving relief. Always treat both ears, even if only one aches.

6.Onion: Lightly bake a large onion, cut it in half and while warm (not hot enough to irritate the area), bind one half of the onion over each ear. Bandage in place and hold bandage on with a nightcap, white skullcap, etc., and leave on all night.

7.Camomile: Use a fomentation over both ears of three parts of camomile and one part of lobelia. Take two ounces orally (a wineglass full) each two waking hours. Leave the fomentation on the ears all night. (Cover fomentation with plastic or oiled silk, etc.).

8.Mullein: Use three to six drops of mullein oil in both ears several times each day. Insert it upon retiring for the night, and, as before, plug the ears with cotton. Place a fomentation over the ears all night of three parts mullein and one part lobelia.

Best of health to both of you.

Cheers
