I met a nice man who's 35 and we've been talking for a couple months. We like each other and we're not sure about dating or not. There is something there but I think it maybe too soon for him to date anyone. He got out of a 8 month relationship a couple months ago and the ex also suffered a miscarriage (before the break up). They're still friends. He says there's no way they're going to get back together and it's not because of the miscarriage but because they fight too much and she's not the one for him. He also said he's not sure about dating but he likes me a lot. A miscarriage isn't something you can get over that quickly, it's more something you have to learn to accept and deal with for the rest of your life. Is it at all possible he's ready to date someone in the next month or two? Or would that be highly unlikely? I don't want to be a rebound relationship. I would rather us remain friends than go too fast.

First of all he said that he isn't sure that he is ready to date yet, which translates to he is not commitment material right now. And even if he and his ex are on good terms, he just survived a serious relationship and the loss of a child, i really think you should put this one on the back burner. He'll definitely need some serious time before he'll be ready to go back on the market for anything long term.

i would probably give it a few months because he just lost a baby with a miscarraige so thats really not something you can just get over that eaisly. i would just give it a few months and then maybe.

I would definitely be cautious. You don't want to be his escape...just be friends with him for a few months. If he is still into you after a few months go by and you are still into him...go for it!

How do you like excess baggage? He probably has some that he hasn't finished sorting through yet.
