The answer to that question friend would change according to each individuals relationship with the Lord. Its a personal thing with each person.
We could make a list of specific things we could do. But in my humble opinion.... the biggest thing that we can try to improve on is being obedient to Him. If we are obedient He will guide us and show us so that improvement comes through him to us.

God bless you :)

Showing God's love to all. So many times these days our reputation gets ruined by a few select men and women who are not being exemplary of what a Christian truly is. Just make sure that if someone complains about "Christians do this and that," you let them know not all Christians are like that, and that you are one of those who loves God with all your heart. Be a light to the world :D

On loving your neighbour like Jesus said and not condemning people all the time and spreading hate. It's human nature to think you're better than everybody else for what you believe but there's no reason to spread hellfire and damnation as a way to control people. Christians need to be more tolerant and loving and pay more attention to what Jesus said rather than the Old Testament and what Paul said in the New Testament.

I think the #1 thing we need to work on most as Christians is our attitude towards other people. Our walk and our talk must always match if we are to be believable to a lost world. And we must never give the impression of superiority to anyone. If we can truly view others through the eyes of Christ and show a genuine concern for them, without judgment, we can really make a difference as individuals in this world. Our lives become more blessed and our own relationship with Christ becomes deeper as we do so. Jesus said that 'they will know that we are His disciples if we truly love one another.' He didn't say it would be easy. He simply stated a fact and gave us the key to becoming the kind of 'Christian' that makes a difference in the world. Sadly so many non-Christians view us as hypocrites because they feel we look down upon them. Many times they are right. We can't turn our backs on anyone that is without Christ in their lives - not because of age, gender, race, nationality, socal status, popularity, and so on. Until we made the personal decision to commit our lives to Christ and accept what he did for us at Calvary on a personal level, each of us was just as lost and separated from God as the lowest murdering, filthy, theiving, addict (and so on). If someone hadn't shown each of us the truth and how to know God through Jesus Christ without making us feel looked down upon, we would still be as lost as last year's Easter egg. And if those who influenced our lives lived by any other standard, we would never have believed them. We must be consistant as believers in our daily walk and learn to genuinely love others as Christ loves us, and even moreso than we love ourselves, to be the kind of Christians others need to see.

The most important thing is your relationship with God. Read His word, pray, listen for His answers. Fellowship with other Christians. Love each other. When these things fall into place, the rest will follow.

Being more loving to our own and the world, like the Amish. Christians do not live any better or have anything attractive about their lives that non-Christians would want.

What can WE do? For we have died - and now Christ lives in us. If we are dead - how can we work on anything? Especially anything that could possibly add to the perfect precious blood of Jesus - the blood that cries out that we are righteous before God because we have trusted in Christ. And even that is a gift from God - the gift of faith that we have recieved. All our righteousness is as filthy rags - how could our working ever improve on the righteousness we have recieved from Christ through faith?

Gal 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

This is the work of God - that we believe on Christ.
Jhn 6:29 "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."

Believe - that is the work of God. If you must work - Believe. But don't work yourself up into a frenzy believing - faith is a gift from God - so you won't be able to take any credit for that either.

We all need to work on our relationship with God. When we truly put kingdom interest first in our lives, and put on the new personality, we can be close to God. We can become his friend as was Abraham. But we must be doing this in accordance with his will. Not relying on our selves, but on God. When we acquire God like qualities in our lives, we will also be able to reflect these qualities in our marriages, with our friends, work mates or even school mates. So what is foremost to work on is, our Obedience to God, and our relationship with all others.

i think most christians should consider opening their minds as well as their hearts to non-believers without judgement. a lot of them say they don't judge, but they do and some don't realize what is really going on in this world and they need to take that into consideration. also some need to stop telling people that they are going to hell

On living out the teachings of Christ.
The rest (ie evangelism, making the world a better place) will flow naturally from that.
