Only if practiced religiously

No, atheism is not a religion.

Let me start with a variety of definitions of "religion."
1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects

Neither of these accurately describe atheism which is, quite simply, the belief that there is not god. It is not a set of beliefs. It is the opposite of believing in creation by a superhuman agency. It contains no "ritual practices" or anything of the sort. Let me know if I missed anything.

To put it very simply, atheism is not a religion because a belief in it does not require faith. One can look at the facts of evolution and logically understand them. From there, one can logically infer that the world "created" itself and no god was necessary. An atheist does not have to believe anything without proof.

Would you really want people trying to tell you who you are when they are not in your shoes and have no clue actually? Probably not. But this is also what you are doing by asking this.

Let us speak for ourselves please. A religion is a man made group that follows a particular set of the same beliefs. Atheists only share that label and a disbelief in deities. Beyond that our beliefs can vary greatly. We do not all follow the same beliefs, we do not gather together, we do not worship anything, a set of ways, etc. We are individual people with that title and a lack of belief in a deity, that is all we have in common. Religion is mad made, and atheism, which is more of a state of being then a structured thing like religion, is not a religion.

No, atheism isn't a religion. But evolution is. Oh no of course billions of years ago a huge bang happened and then there was formed the primordial soup that lightning struck and life began and we evolved from there, it's science really. Evolution is so perfect and self explanatory, and it's in the textbooks so it sure must be true.- Actually evolution is closer to a religion then science due to its need for faith to be believed. Of course lots of people follow it blindly, but how is that differant from other religions? I don't mean to come across as a snob, although sarcasim has a tendancy to do that to its user, I'm just trying to rasie new questions. Of course lots of people believe in evolution just for the plain sake of believing in something, but they still defend their faith adamently when opposed, although they're not sure why.Hey, if you insulted my religion I'd get upset to. And if its about disagreeing with plain science that annoys you, take another look at evolution. Science makes sense, evolution doesn't.

To get back on topic, no atheism isn't a religion, although a lot of people who claim to be atheistic are religious anyway.

No, Religion is a system of thought considered to be supernatural, sacred, divine or highest truth, and the moral codes, practices, values, institutions, and rituals associated with such belief or system of thought. They believe in God. Atheism is the opposite not believing in God etc so it is not another religion.

Nope.

Religion is a myth combined with a philosophy. A myth is a story that relates man, the world, and deity.

Atheism is one thing and one thing only: there is no god.

So no, atheism is not a religion. It does not have a myth or a philosophy.

No, at least not for me. For me atheism is a total lack of belief in any god or gods. It's not something you crusade for or try to persuade other people towards. You just don't believe, that's all.

Imagine it like this.

You have ten people in a room. Nine of them play different sports; one plays no sports. The other nine are talking about golf and baseball and soccer and curling, and then they turn to the guy who plays no sports. "What do you play?" they ask him. "Nothing", he says. "I enjoy watching you play your sports, and I'm interested in who's doing well and past players, but I don't play myself."

Now, are these nine people going to try and tell this guy that dodging traffic on his daily commute is a sport? Hopefully not. Are they going to try and convince him to each play their sport? Maybe, but they'll probably ask once and dismiss it. They'd likely appreciate his interest and be willing to talk with him about it.
