Your skin may be sensitive towards scented ones but I don't think they are really as bad as a scented tampon because tampons go directly into your body and are also bleached to a nice white color....so with that in mind....I know the pads with baking soda work well and stop unwanted smell. They are safe to use but you may want to try different kinds to find the one that works best for you. Hope this helps!!

which scented pads? skin and body could mean -face cloths/pad-which are normally hypoallergenic. 50 years ago - the cosmetic companies tested the chemicals on rabbits until the rabbits were no longer blinded by the chemicals. Yes-today the chemicals are safe.

Yes. They are bad. They often cause yeast infections which hurt like the dickens and last about 7 days. DO Not ever buy scented pads or tampons!

the chemicals to make the pads scented are really bad for your gentle private areas- it can cause a rash or a kind of chemical burn. it would be like putting plain laundry detergent right next to you without using any water

I didn't even know they made scented pads...but I know that anything scented (i.e. tampons, pads, toilet paper, etc.) contain perfumes that can irritate the skin. This can increase your chances at yeast infections, etc., so I would suggest to stay away from them. There is no need to use them over unscented.

scented maxi pads are safe to use, if your skin becomes irritated try a different brand. its the sented tampons you want to watch out for,,,as they are internal. any time you notice irritation or discomfort with a feminine hygien product (mainly tampons and sopasitories, anything you insert) disconinue and consult your family physician. normally no worries with maxi pads, as they are external.

My OBGYN told me that women shouldn't use anything down there that is scented. That even goes for the feminine wash products. There is always a risk of allergic reaction which include dryness and irritation.
