Define what you think love is, because you use the ultimate sacrificial love which grows with time in the context of a short term get together. This is impossible.
It is however possible that over time this person you are attracted to will end up being your life long partner and truly LOVE you. As for now it cannot possibly be called love, just a misrepresentation of feelings bought about by the education Hollywood gives to it audience.
Love would never leave you in this state of confusion. You have one too many questions for this to be true love

Possible to fall in love in a few hours ? No. You might feel thoughts of love growing . . . thoughts that the person might have traits that are of love interest to pursue. But to be fully fallen in love...no. Maybe the feeling is more lovingly interested, infactuated. And for it to work out...it can. If you experience that loving interest, the 'environment' of that person potentially being one you want to pursue and stick around to see what they are about to see if there is valid foundation to those initial hours of interest.
And verify those initial hours of love feeling...time spent together ~ ~ ~ months, minimum two years. My feeling is this . . . the first years is potential love and euphoria. The second year is still love growing and continued euphoria blended with ease of sharing lifes experiences together, letting ones 'guard down' allowing the see the natural, authentic person your relating to and coming to know. The third year...say the initially strongly felt love is still there, the euphoria is also still there yet has warmed into a loving heart warming comfort and, while moving through this third year, you are able to see the true, authentic person.
The heart is too precious to not be patient for. If you love that person in the first hours, weeks, months...then love yourself enough to really know who you are choosing to share your heart with and if that person is valuing of the honor of holding and sharing your heart. Love is not enough...shared respect, humor, value, honor, knowing how to love and disagree in a respectful healthy way can only be verified by the season of time.
You might have been right all along of the felt feelings in those first few hours, and to have those initial feelings validated two or three years down the road...your're simply being a wise 'consumer'. Your heart, love, is not a car or package of cereal...true, authentic love is a valuing magnificance.

more lust than love. loneliness can make lust feel as if it is love, but real love takes time.
