MY HUSBAND WORKS OUT OF TOWN. HE DROPPED HIS TRUCK IN A LOCAL PARKING LOT WHERE HE WAITS ON THE BUS TO COME AND GET HIM. I CALLED HIM LAST NIGHT AND LEFT A MESSAGE AND CALLED AGAIN FOR A STRANGE MAN TO ANSWER IT WAS A POLICE OFFICER THAT TOLD ME MY HUSBANDS TRUCK WAS ON FIRE. IT IS TOTALLED AND WE LIVE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK. HE IS HEART BROKEN OVER ALL OF THIS. IT WAS A NICE TRUCK. AND HE HAS HAD IT FOR ABOUT 8 YEARS AND ALWAYS TOOK CARE OF IT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR HIM RIGHT NOW. WE WORK HARD AND DON'T HAVE ALOT BUT THIS MAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR ME AND ADOPTED MY DAUGHTER HE IS MY LIFE. AND I HATE TO SEE HIM SO HURT.
THIS WAS CAUSED BY A RECALL THAT WE WERE NOT AWARE OF FROM FORD THE CRUISE CONTROL. I AM AS HEART BROKEN AS HE IS TO SEE HIM SO HURT. WHAT DO I DO? OUR INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY WE HAD LIABILITY. AND DOES NOT COVER FIRE AND SO ON. WE DID NOT KNOW THIS. IT WAS INSAULT TO INJURY. I WOULD LOVE TO GO OUT AND GET ANOTHER TRUCK BUT IT'S NOT IN THE BUDGET WITH 4 KIDS.

i own a repair shop, and I'm real sorry for your loss,i know what its like to have one burn ,it happened to me also,i think if you believe hard enough you,ll find a way to get another truck, you have to believe in miracles once in a while, and now is the time to believe in one,i have seen bigger things than this happen to people who deserve a break once in a while happen,so don't give up,there's always an answer, and i think you,ll discover it before Monday morning gets here.good luck, and think about what i said,i hope this help,s.

You could try contacting Ford, but I doubt if that would help things. You could go further up on the ladder, it may be worth a shot to complain, especially if your husband purchased this truck new, and you never received a recall notice from Ford. This recall involved millions of vehicles and several hundred caught on fire. They may be interested in knowing the fate of your husband's truck. The address below may lend an ear to your problem, it may not get a response, but it is all I could come up with.

well first off you need to be sure its fords fault , and you are suppose to have auto insurance so do you if you do problem solved if you don't then you must prove the fire was what you state with out a reason of doubt , no exception's I cant see ford saying yes come on down we will give you a new car if deemed bad by the MFG then you have something so ..................................
