Okay, I was wearing my contact this afternoon when my eye started to hurt...I thought that there was something in it so I took the contact out...nothing! I then preceeded to rinse my eye with eye drops because I thought that there might be something in it...well, my eye now (several hours later with no contact in) has gotten increasinly more painful and red and continues to water constently. Can someone please tell me what it going on?

The contacts solution recalled was ReNu if I remember correctly. How long have you been wearing contacts before? I had 3 really nasty eye infections with a couple months of each other with the same symptoms each time. The third time was really bad and my eyes were so red and swollen that I couldn't open them. Finally I decided to go to the doctor's and he discovered that I was wearing two contacts in one eye, the contact on the bottom having been left there for several months. I still don't know how I did that, but I doubt you have the same problem. But, my point in telling you this is that you should go to the doctor's, as he may discover something that you might not realize.

I had the exact same thing! My eye was also extremely sensitive to sunlight. I went to the eye doctor who gave me antibiotic drops and after a week I still had the problem so the eye doctor prescribed steroid drops which I had to use in a very specific way weaning off of them for another week I used these drops and now my eye is fine. I would definately go to the eye doctor and have your eye checked.

i have the same problem EVERYtime i put contacts. But for me, discomfort caused by contacts usually only lasts for an hour. I think perhaps u are sensitive to the contact cleaner or like me, just not meant for contacts. I remember few months back there was a major recall of one big brand of contact cleaner. i can't remember the brand, but go see a doctor to clarify.

The contact could have caused some irritation, infection, or even a corneal abrasion. You need to see a doctor to determine whether or not you need to have antibiotic eye drops. I would not wait very long to seek medical attention.

First of all, STOP putting stuff in your eye. Is the water santized? Are your hands washed? Go to a docter, before you make yourself go blind.
