Your soul is your spirit, your lifeforce. What happens to it when you pass away?

That is a very personal question to ask.. it's more something you need to answer for yourself.
Some believe in being judged and going to either heaven or hell, others you stay until jesus comes ro raise everyone up for judgment and the earth be made hell in whitch those who are bad, will stay to burn, the rest will be taken to heaven.... Others believe in re-incarnation (sorry, bad speller) ... but on that note there are different beliefs as well. Some think your life in judged in how far and well you lived your life and you either move on beyond that or come back to be re-incarnated... others also think you can be re-incarnated as something other than human...like a pet, or something.

If you believe in the Bible you would first have to understand what the soul is. Gen 2:7 “and the man came to be a living soul.” Notice that it does not say that the man was given a soul but that he became a soul, a living person. Second point is found at Ezek 18:4 “the soul (“the man” or “the person”) that is sinning it itself will die. Your soul does not go anywhere, your soul is you.

Hebrews 9:27 says that it's appointed unto man once to die, after this the judgement. So the soul goes to be judged before God and according to the life that the soul have chose to live will say if it will enter into heaven or hell. Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Well, according to Scientology, your soul goes back up into the air and hovers around with all the others until the alien Xenu puts you back into another body.
According to Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and other minor religions, if you were "good" you go to heaven and if you were "bad," you go to hell. However, they all believe that since they are right and everyone else is wrong, it might be safe to say that they are either all going to heaven or all going to hell.
In Hinduism, you are reincarnated. If you lived a great life, you might be lucky enough to be born a cow. If not, you could be born an "untouchable," and then you are lower on the caste system than rats and elephants.

Seek the answer and you will find it. I'm not sure yahoo answers is the best place to seek the answer but at least you have a start.
No matter what, there is an energy/life spark in all of us. No doctor has ever created it or thoroughly explained it. It is not bottled and can't be held on to. That energy when it leaves the broken and worn flesh MUST go somewhere. The answer will surely come to ALL of us one day. If I find out before you I'll let you know..OK?

The spirit... the eternal being inside of us.. never dies. Read the many accounts of near-death experiences to confirm this (book by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross is a good start). If a person has accepted Christ.. truly met Him... and accepted that His death settled God's wrath for his or her sin... that person goes to Heaven forever. To refuse so great a Love and Mercy and Sacrifice sets a person on a path to eternal destruction.

If you dont know where your soul is going to go when you pass away you need to talk to the one who gave us these souls in the first place that is to say the creator.Now ,He allowed Jesus to take our place and be put to death to pay for any evil that you or i could have done on this earth.So now that our sins are forgiven the next step ,well let me put it in Jesus own words." He who lives and beleives in me has already passed from death to life."

At Ezekiel 18:4 "The soul that is sinning - it itself will die."
When you die you fall asleep in death and return to the dust of the ground so much the same way a candle is extinguished so to is the soul.

You life force becomes a deathforce and you develop a ray that can shoot out of orifices you wouldn't believe and if you were a terrible dancer, you become a soul dancer, and your spirit soars.

It all depends on KARMA'S if person does good KARMA soul live in peace and on the other hand if KARMA were bad soul kept roaming
and is being kicked by one place to the other.
