Do you have metal teeth?

You can cook a steak by boiling it but it would be a mistake. A better method would be to Poach your steak in a broth or aromatic liquid. Allowing steak or any meat to boil in a liquid will cause the fat and juices to melt out of your meat. If you bring your liquid to below boiling the boiling point - when the liquid just starts to show movement - and then add your meat and keep it at that temperature (about 190) you will have a juicy, flavorful, moist, meat. The amount of liquid and type of liquid used for poaching varies depending on the meat. Meat and poultry are usually simmered in stock, fish in a court-bouillon, and eggs, out of the shell, with a little vinegar added. The liquid will enhance the flavor of your meat and after your meat is cooked the liquid can be reduced to make a sauce. Boiling plain water and immersing a steak will not produce a good steak.

You craving for meat in a soup? And, there's only steak available in the fridge? :)
Different cuts of meat would taste better cook or done as recommended. Yes, you can definitely boil a steak, you need seasoning or perhaps cook it in a curry or make it into a soup serve with egg noodles. It should taste fine.

yes but why would you ruin a good piece of meat? You can pan sear it or throw it in the oven broiler...anything but boil. When you boil it you take away all the stuff that makes steak yummy all the juices from the meat dispate in the water.

Yes, if you want to. I always take steak and put it in a skillet with some water and kinda fry it in water covered. Everyone says I make the best steak?? I season it as well before I cook it with a variation of steak seasonings.

probably, but it would turn out better if you broil it. Just be very careful because when you broil a steak you can overcook it real fast - depending on size and all it should only be maybe 7 mins. per side - and make sure to cut it and check inside because a lot of times the way the outside of it looks can be deceiving. Good luck

if you boil the steak, boil it with this seasoning called "Gravymaster". It gives the meat flavor, and cut some carrots and potatoes up and put it in there. Its good to use a crock-pot for this..The end result tastes like pot-roast.....

Sure , why not just don't try eating it unless you like the taste of baseball glove cause that is what it will taste like but the water will be a good broth on a cold day.. Nothing like a good Beef Broth.

Lots of beef dishes are "boiled".
Pot roast, beef stew, beef stroganoff.
Steak will not come out like it does on the grill or broiler if you boil it. It will be bland unless you season it like you would a roast. The texture will likewise be different.
