The never hesistate to try and force their beliefs on you, but when you return fire with a challangeing question they cant answer they go all 1st grade on you like "Because god is awesome". Are they hiding something or are they brainwashed?

Check out Paul Ricoeur's theories of religious development. This will help enlighten you as to why that happens; why people question; and why there are some of faith that are content and wise. Covers it all, and makes a lot of sense.

First, religion is man made. I am a Christian and do believe in Jesus. What is so childish about that?
Second, your question is very child like.
Didn't you know that begining in the first grade, you are at the begining of being brainwashed into thinking a certain way?
You are demonstrating that brainwashed mentality right now.
Its okay though, I don't take it offensively. And I don't hate people like you. It is good to be challenged.

You are judging millions of people by just a few that you know.
Some people have answers, but may not be articulate to explain it or think you won't understand.
There are Christians that are on different levels of growth . Someone that is 20 might study the Bible more than someone older and vise versa. It all depends. Just because someone is "religious' doesn't mean they know God or are real Christians.

What we are taught to do by Jesus,is to go out into the world and speak to the lost..The lost are the ones who do not have Jesus in thier lives..We are only doing work Jesus said Himself for us to do..I don't cram my beliefs,I try to teach them so you can decide that you do have a choice to live free or stay where you are..If you don't want to be set free from all the pains you live in now, then just say,,no I pass..No I am not brainwashed,,I know exactly what I am doing..Matter of fact I feel so much more free now than when I lived in sin..It is a choice only you can make..I wish you the best in everything you do and I will pray that God will reveal to you truth,so you can see for yourself that Jesus is alive and well..

Your question indicates they are wrong in their beliefs. It further indicates you believe they are brainwashed because of their beliefs and all people who are "religious" are childlike. Your argument and debate are a subtle way of forcing your beliefs on me. What makes you any different than "them"?

first it's important that you differentiate between religious and spiritual. i've often wondered the same thing; i've played devils advocate (interesting term here) to deeply "religious" people. i may now know a lot in this world, but in my 27 yrs of life now i realize these people need a leader. they are lost without their preacher/priest/rabbi/whatever, without this persons guidance. i find that the most spiritual people, whether they are christian, muslim, buddist, baha'i, whatEVER, simply accept. they skip the middle man for direct answers and communicate with their creator. and if that's not what you want to do, it's your perogative. no questions.

The answer to this is that they are not childlike they are humble. If you have a relationship with the Lord you do not need to be brazen and rough around the edges. If you are a Christian you are confident and comfortable in your life. It is wonderful not to have to live in worry and struggle all the time.

what about the idiots that believe in evolution, they don't have all the answers either, now do they, so challenge me all u want and i will answer to the best of my ability but i don't have all the answers and neither do ppl that believe in evolution, so u cant say we are brainwashed unless u say that every1 else is because NOONE has ALL the answers
