I need to know what to talk about when you are on the phone with a potential date.?

I'm having trouble finding things to talk about on the phone with someone who wants to go out with me. I don't know what I should do. I really like this person, but if it's based on our phone conversation we'll never get together. Someone help me. I have already covered the basics( favorites, bithday, etc.)
