I was driving home after the gym and for some odd reason I had a question pop into my mind.. It was something about - what really happens when someone dies? Where will I go? I'm in a point in my life where I'm questioning my faith - I believe in a higher power but I'm still unsure. It's been hard for me because I wasn't raised in a religious household. I'm just starting to read bits and pieces of the Bible but I don't believe that that will give me all the answers. I'm just curious as to why these questions really popped up in my head - I had thoughts about the afterlife and if I'm really going to be in a "heaven" with God, or if I'm just going to close my eyes and fall asleep - never waking up again. I dunno - I'm just scared because I know there's something to believe in because so many others claim they KNOW/FEEL God - and I feel left out because I don't know any part of that. If any of you have any advice, please give me some.

I wasn't raised in a religious household either, and I've never experienced what other people have described about knowing God. You are on a spiritual journey just like I am so don't be scared. Searching and reading and thinking will lead you where you need to go. Just keep an open mind and research research research. Eventually you will find what makes the most sense to you and gain peace.

I have similar ideas. I think we have soul like many religoins teach. However i am not quite sure of heaven or hell. And I am not quite sure that god will give us all happiness just after death. Death cannot be such certificate to heaven or hell. But where ever we go, we will have similar thoughts we have on earth, similar desperacy, etc. So, i think we cannot have a better life than we have now. so, try to keep our mind at peace, make it a habit, believe what make you feel better than to believe what a particular religion says.
