Why do you feel lonely?
Maybe because you are so alone, detached and disengaged with a lot of things. Are you the aloof type? Do you shun any oppurtunity to make good friendships? Do you like to talk to people regardless of their wit? Are you keeping any pains from the past? These are just the questions you need to answer yourself.
Why are you depressed?
Well, you maybe finding it very difficult to let go of any eventuality that happened in the past or you may have a lot of things going but you can't learn to accept. You need to a strong will to move on and reform an attitude that doesnt work for you.
On relationships, just let things happens as they would. Don't interpret anything just yet. You will never know the reason----for example------you're not sure if you would get into a relationship-----unless you allow it to happen naturally.
Just let things happen and stop entertaining your pessimistic side. You wont get anywhere by being skeptical or pessimistic.

well what you do feel like doing? A question we should not let our mind answer, but our heart. Where do we want to go? Maybe you should ask yourself that. The answer does not lie anywhere but your motives. You should be happy at this point, even excited. It is just a loss of achievement. It isn't the guy thing you want so much. Maybe you are depressed because something you have not yet achieved? A goal not reached? A aching fear or shame that disillusionates you? A desire may not be reached? Ask yourself some of these questions. Maybe you need to reach to an accomplishment in order to feel confident and secure about yourself, in order to boost your morale and self esteem. human is the only being on earth that will never be totally known as a knowledge. We are so complicated that there are so many answers to your question.
1)because it is the opposite of happy. You sure felt happy before. Why you think you will not feel unhappy too?
2)If you wouldnt feel lonely, how would you value un-lonelyness?
3) you feel lonely because its the effect of some acts that interact with your mood and feels.
4)you feel depressed because life is sometimes depressing, and some others sad, but some others lovely and amusing

That happen to many people around planet earth.You are not alone.you can do many things to take out those feelings of lonely and depression: watch some funny TV programs,or movies,or read a magazine or book you really like.Call to your friends or talk with your family.Listen music you like,read the Bible and pray.Read the Psalm 23 in the Bible.Talk with yahoo's friends (it is an excellent idea).Maybe thinking in the man you like will help you a lot.God bless you everyday in your present and future life.Do not worry,be happy,smile.God, the Holy spirit and Jesus love you forever.Good luck.

being a lone is not a good feeling. you said there is a guy you work with you should shaire some of your feelings with him. he may feel the same way as you are and you never know. I would give it a try. trust me I am in the same situation and am finding it hard to open up to the other.

u just lonely - find out if the guy at work is interested, ask him...we girls can just do that now-a-days... so use it - then you wont be depressed anymore you will know one way or the other - if hes not - move right on to the next one - thats life...

I have the same problem. Try to embrace it. Sorrow is beutiful. Create art, share your feelings. Depression is a way of filtering through feelings, come out on top and you will be stronger, let it consume you and stop you from doing things and you will be going down a path you don't want to go down.

Start breathing more deeply. and try this mantra

Say the words out loud and focus your mind on listenign to the sounds.Its opens your heart. You don't ahve to beloive it will work. it will work. do it for a minute or so everyday. start with a half a minute and do it mroe and more. if you don't like it immediately don't worry it will grow on you. its very sweet.
and smile.
and keep breathing.
and if you hurt someone, be sorry, even if they hurt you too. and maybe say so too.
