Tell him, either advance or break up, but if you chose to move to the next level and he's not ready, then he'll always be behind and hold you back from growing into a more stable and mature relationship

First off, how long have you been in this relationship? And second, I think you need to sit down and talk about where the relationship is headed. See where he stands and let him know where you stand. He may be ready to take the next step also and not want to mention anything to you. Communication is the key in any relationship. If he is not ready to take it to the next level and you are not willing to wait, its time to LIG(let it go):)
