Halloween was originally called all hallowed eve. it was the night before all saints day. and children would dress up as demons and demand candy from the neighborhood.
me i enjoy Halloween, and have candy for the kids.
when my children were young we always took them.
today people get too busy looking for something to be religious about and forget to spend their time with God.

The real Holiday was All Saints Day, which by someone's strange logic placed it on Nov 1st the Day after the pagan holiday (the fall solstice.) And as you know the Christan's made many of their holidays to coincide with the pagans so that they could get more followers. Anyway, the day all Saints day was a pure day. So to purify themselves the people would go out on All Hollows Eve and purge themselves of all their devils. (I'm reminded a lot of Marti Gra.) All Hollows Eve became known as the day when the devil worked the hardest because it was the day that demen were allowed to party.

People like to make things complicated and mess up stuff for others...its just a silly holiday for families to get together and get candy w/ their kids, and scare them once in a while, by hiding in their bedroom closet and when they open it, they have a heart attack, cry, and you feel bad in the end, but it was still fun to scare the crap out of your kids...lol...
ok, halloween does have its history but in todays society it isnt about that, its just about having fun w/ family...but some ppl fail to see that!

Because it is pagan.
Of course, Yule/Winter Solstice was pagan, too, but naming it Christmas fixed that, right?
But for some reason christianization didn't work for Halloween aka Hallowmass aka All Saint's Day aka All Hallow's Eve.
Maybe because they had more luck converting the Romans than they did the Celts.

Here is the logic...
Because the Druids who practiced it would offer sacrifices, some reported to be human.
Whether those reports are true or not, the Bible calls for Christians to be seperate from non-believers and idol worshippers. The Bible also calls the gods of other belief systems idols, and that there is only one God, and that's Jesus Christ.
A Biblical description of the Devil purpose is to distract people away from Jesus, and look to themselves or others as a focal point to worship; anything but Jesus is OK with the Devil.
Hence, it is a Satanic holiday.

Because they are so close-minded, that they are blind to the fact that Halloween is in fact a Christian festival.
Hallowe'en celebrates Christ's Triumph Over evil!!
The Day after Hallowe'en is the Feast of all Saints & the day after that is the Feast of all Souls.

Because people have always been afraid of the unknown. If someone doesn't know about something or understand it, they are scared of it. It has always been that way. I just hope and pray to the Goddess/God and Akasha that people can learn to open their hearts and their minds to try to find true understanding and not sterotype labels. Blessed Be

I believe they think that because its what's been bred into them. Christianity was fully aware of how much of a Holy Day it is to the Witches, and therefore to scare people would tell them this.

Because they are shallow and look for every reason to make it that. Halloween is what you make it. If you are doing seances then yea maybe for you it is, for everyone else who just enjoys dressing up and having a little fun it is not!

Halloween doesn't have anything to do with the devil. Halloween came about due to something completely different.
