X-tian for those who don't know is a Christian. X takes the place of Christ in words.... example X-mas.
I heard a dude talking about how the devil was really fighting against him this week. He said, "The harder you serve the Lord the harder that ole devil fights against you". It made me kind of queasy because not so long ago I would have nodded my head in agreement and said, "Amen brother"... but now I just shake my head in utter disbelief of how absolutely absurd that sounds. To answer your question... No atheism is not the work of the devil since he is imaginary too.

First..you are asking this question for a reason. If you were a true atheist, this sort of question wouldn't even matter to you. So you are searching for answers which is good. Secondly...when you talk about your past experiences with "x-ianity or any other popular religions these days"...you are talking about religions...not a truly life changing experience with Christ...you see, many people go to church regularly and appear to have a relationship with Christ...but in the Bible it mentions...that Jesus says..."Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord...shall enter the kingdom of heaven" and that come Judgment Day...when Jesus commands these lost souls to "depart from Me you workers of lawlessness" and these poor lost souls replied..."but Lord I cast demons out in your name"...Jesus replied..."But I knew you not". (Matthew 7:21-23) See, to have a relationship or a walk with Jesus is a life changing experience...you become a new creature...you are not the same as you were before. And this is not truly understood until you humble yourself and ask Christ into your life. The reason I am responding to your question here tonight is because I see a lot of myself in you before I found Christ. I,too, was not experiencing any major problems in my life...but I knew deep in my soul that I was missing something in life. I tried to fill it with sex, drugs, and everything else you can imagine. But I was empty inside. Please, carefully consider your choice about not walking with Christ...you are either for Him or you are against Him...there is no middle ground. When everything is said and done in your life I truly hope you made a careful, calculated decision about your eternity. Most people take more time choosing out a house or a car than they do about their eternal souls. You can't say you haven't been told about Christ...but ultimately it is your decision...and yours alone...God Bless!!!

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.
Love and blessings

here is the thing, atheism is the work of the devil and u may have a very good life here on earth because the devil is leaving u alone because he knows he has your soul. whereas when u are a christian u have the devil constantly coming at u trying to get u to do bad things but if u hold out the reward is far greater when u die.

Satan is great at making people happy so you dont trust in God. Of course anything that takes away from God will lead you dont a path to death. Your life may be wonderful right now..but where will you spend eternity? Satan is going to be spending it in hell..I dont want anyone to be with him. Accept Christ as your savior and live forever with him.

Don't atheists believe there is no God? If there's no God, Satan has no purpose, either. Can there be a bad guy if there is no good guy?
An easy life should be a warning sign to some of us - shouldn't we be challenged to become better every day?

if i were to guess...either this is all untrue and you like to get attention or you've felt some kind of pain, have rejected god, and are trying to compensate for the lack of an important relation by saying it was never good in the first place.
either way, there is a lack of god in your life, and you will feel unfulfilled. people have never been able to fulfill me, nor entertainment, nor food, nor knowledge, and i dont think anything else will either. only god has, only god will.

Actually its the works of your own thoughts and desires.
Saten attacks only those who do not belong to him.
If as you state you used to read your bible and follow Jesus Christ, then you will remember in the book of Romans that this very subject is addressed.
It states that once you reject God in your heart he gives you over to your own thoughts and desires and you will no longer feel that pull or need to follow Jesus Christ.
God knows that although you looked into following him, you never actually accepted him and his way into your heart. He also knows the moment that you actually rejected him and he did as you wanted, he gave you over to your own thoughts and desires.
No devil to blame here, its all on you.
