if the guy calls you when he says he will and wants to go places with you but just broke up with his girlfriend just a couple days ago does that mean hes using you as a rebound even though youve gone out and talked while he has gone out with his GF?

If could very well mean that. He could be doing it to replace an empty void or he could be tying to get back at her, either way he u should confront him and ask him why he's doing it and that unless she's really and truly out of his system, u can't continue to go out with him.
