I had my dream wedding! It was a traditional Ukrainian wedding, and was wonderful. The ceremony was in my home city church, with the ceremony done all in Ukrainian (there were booklets with translation there in English), officiated by my husband's brother - who was the parish priest, and two other priests who are friends of ours. The ceremony was so beautiful, and included the traditional "crowning" of the bride and groom, blessing and exchange of rings and vows, etc. We had four attendants each, and our summer colours were teal, pink, lilac and light yellow - so everything was very light and pretty.
The wedding supper was delish (so everyone says, I hardly ate), and the reception was lots of fun! Instead of the "wedding cake", we had a three-tier set of Ukrainian wedding breads (kolachi), all specially made for us and decorated beautifully. The music was super - lots of Ukrainian songs - and everyone had the joint rockin'. I guess generally, everyone had a great time, and that's what makes a great wedding. We had just under 200 people at the reception.

I want a wedding in a big church with bridesmaids and flower girls, a lot of ushers in tailcoats, reporters and photographers. A ceremony where the bishop will tie the knot and say, "Do you agree to love and honor? Love and honor yes, but not obey." (ha!) I want a wedding ring surrounded by diamonds and platinum, a big reception at the Waldorf, with champagne and caviar. A want a wedding like the Vanderbilt's have, everything big not small. If i can't have that kind of a wedding, I don't want to get married at all. (just kidding about the last part)

wow, now this a complex topic. my dream wedding should be average: 300 people at the most, outside ceremony with an orchestra playing the song as i would walk down the isle. also, it should be in the month of December or February and outside. i would be wearing a strapless gown made of tafetta, chiffon and silk, with jewels of pearls, the bridemaids would be wearing dresses in the shade of royal purple, a 5-7 tier cake from one of the best cake makers in the country, a 3 course meal would be served along with miniature desserts. the location that would be great would be somewhere in Europe, by the water, sort of scenery. the wedding would be black tie or really formal with the reception at one of the best hotels as well as tables with candlelight, bouquets of white and pink roses and china for the food. the DJ would be ATB, Tiesto and Van Buryn spinning the tables for the night, the first song to dance on would be "Unforgetable" by Nat King Cole...the goody bags would be picture frames engraved of me and the groom with a pic inside the frame. the wedding would be somewhere in the $40-$50,000 budget.

My dream wedding is to get married on the ocean in a luxury yacht with all my friends and family present. It would be sunset and after the ceremony we would sit down to a lavish dinner served by servants in white tie.

I was planning my dream wedding when I found out I was pregnant so we did a small one instead. My husband is a retired Marine and I wanted him in his dress blues, I would have worn an ivory princess cut gown with a long train. At Christmas time with trees on either side of us all decorated and lit up. our cake would have looked like a bunch of piled up christmas presents.

Small, on a Caribbean beach at dusk! Barefoot in the sand! That is how we are doing our renewal vows on our 10th anniversary
