Take a decongestant such as sudafed. It is temporary but can be taken again. Just follow the directions on the bottle.

the same way you would get rid of a nose that isn't stuffy. cut it off. ;)

i have a lot of allergy problems and i've found that nasal sprays tend to work better than pills. i haven't had much luck with over the counter sprays though.

Before the fall of the Soviet Union, their scientists had actually contrived a cure for the common cold:

Take two tampons, soak them in Silver Nitrate, stick one in each nostril and run a low voltage electric current through them.

I never found out for how long you're supposed to do this, but it (supposedly) works!

Take a nyquil night time gel cap... get a good nights rest. Also, taking a nice hot steamy shower seems to loosen up that nose gunk.

Feel better!

Blow your nose as much as possible-use soft tissues!-and take a decongestant/antihistimine. The first unclogs your nose, and the second dries it up. You'll still need to blow your nose a lot, so make sure you get tissues with lotion and/or aloe in them.

a decongestant is best-- if you don't have blood pressure problems. if you also have a RUNNY nose, add an antihistamine. if you suffer from this a lot, a prescription nasal spray might do you wonders.
