Riding 21 years, 6 years downhill competitively for New Zealand state, had a KHS from sponsor, now just riding localy on a Cannondale.

Mountain biking is wonderful! For one, you can get out an enjoy natural beauty without having to worry about flattening a skinny tire or polluting the air with a combustion engine while there. It's great excercise and much easier on the joints than jogging. Even lower-line mountain bikes these days are strong and reliable and provide years of enjoyment (I sound like an advertisement, I know).
My favorite trail would still be the loop/single track section in the extensive forested acreage behind Berry College.
I've been cycling 19 years.

I love mountain biking. For a lot of reasons, one of the most important is that it's fun as hell, and it's a good excercise. I have been riding since 2004, and I have a full suspension bike and a hardtail.
I ride in Mexico, and there are a lot of trails that I like, so it's hard to say a favourite.
Good luck!

im 17 years old and have been riding for a liitle over a year. right now i have a tricked out schwinn XC bike. bought it for $200 at target and have put on a ton of upgrades (everything except the frame is aftermarket) but planning on getting a new bike soon. hopefully ill save enough money from plowing driveways this winter. favorite trail is Old Mine state park in Trumbull, CT. nice jumps, downhill sections, and climbs. not too tough but comfortable.

I most likely won't make friends with this answer or win a popularity contest, but i really don't care for mountain biking or bmx riding. For some reason I can't qualify those sports as cycling, trick riding and bouncing off trees for some reason to me isn't cycling. However for those who indulge, have a ball.
