can you just flush that bolognie out of your mind for a second and try to answer a reasonable question in a reasonable way without any eternal heaven, hell, non-logical 72 virgins floating in sky, getting punished for your past anscestor eating an apple, guy throwing lightning bolts stuff. Ok...

Do you think it is possible that a person may somehow become conscious again in some form, that may even be completely unrelated to the one you are in now? I mean doesn't there have to be some kind of 3rd party thing like a soul to dictate what makes 1 'robot' a being with perspective, and not just any other 'robot'. And is it so unreasonable that this 3rd party thing, I am just going to define as 'perspective', could somehow gain consiousness in some other 'body' that coudl relize or be a part of it's surroundings. It happened once...here you are....why couldn't it happen again? (I am not just talking about reincarantion on earth or as an organism but anything!)

Your consciousness and all of your thoughts and emotions are centered in your brain, not your 'soul'. I have seen many people who have become different people or even 'vegetables' due to Alzheimer's disease or traumatic brain injury. It's sad but true. When you die, it's over.

I think I know exactly what you mean. What makes a you, you. It's hard to wrap your mind around the idea. You think your in a body, why couldn't your mind take thought in another form. If there was an exact replica of you there would be two minds just alike. It really makes you think about what life really is. I have decided that we really are organic robots. Consciousness, What is it? And as said in someone else's answer, there isn't a soul, you are your body.

Edit:
Well the "perspective" is just you. If the exact same configuration of brain particles took place in another location there would be two of you. so the "perspective" isn't transferred in just takes place in another place or time. I don't believe there is some kind of 3rd party thing. You are all the particles that make up you. As I said I think we are organic robots and this perspective just exists in your brain.

We all must live by Universal Laws and all of nature must abide by this also. We think on a linear level and trying to make you understand the ways of the spirit world would do no good because it is way beyond our feebled minds to comprehend! I'm not trying to be smart in the least just giving you the practical way to how it works. We are all a part of everything and everything is a part of us. Their is nothing separate from us! That is the part that most people just cannot comprehend and anything further discussing in this perspective would not be well received rather just scoffed at so I don't see the point in doing so.

From a scientific perspective it is totally plausible, because "matter is neither created nor destroyed" you technically have to go on as something, even if it is food for worms. Speaking of food for worms, studyies have been done with rotofers, small single celled organizism which prove the transfer of consciousness....though, maybe not in the way you are getting at...rotofers typically only eat in the dark....they taught a group of rotofers to eat in the light by shocking the water they were in....then they took those rotofers cut them up and fed them to other rotofers....those rotofers began to eat in the light....same way with penquins....you can teach penquins to be afraid of milk jugs....take the eggs from those penquins and hatch them away from the parents and they will still be afraid of milk jugs....reason being that the information is some how transferred at the cellular level....therefore you technically live on in your children....and you live on in anything that eats you after you die.

Now, if you go into the idea of quantum physics....the abridged version of the story....is that we know that molecules react based on the thought pattern of the observer...so, if a table is only a table, because you are observing it to be a table....the greater implication is that in order for you to be you something has to be observing you into existence....quantum physicst are not ready to take it to that level yet, but we are pretty close.

I have heard stories of Borrowers - folks that can transfer their mind into the mind of animals for periods of time. I have heard stories of folks projecting to other planes of existence in out of body experiences. I have always liked the idea of switching bodies with another to gain a fuller perspective of their life. But I don't think people come back as anything but people - maybe animals. Are you thinking trees and plants or like a chair?

Peace!

If we look at the phenomenon of "past life experiences", perhaps we come right back in
