Dude... Do what is right for you. By all means, take some of the values from each of them and combine your own. You can still be spiritual, even if you don't belong to a church.

You are asking a very important question. This one could change your life. There is only one God and he is not the author of confusion. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Isn't that a relief. Mainstream religion is the wide gate and leads to distruction. God's way is the narrow path and leads to life. To find this way you must first seek the Kingdom of God with all your heart. Pray to the Creator God and asked him for help (Holy Spirit). Religions today are not correct. Some have part of the truth. Making your personal one is not the Way either. Hope this helps you.

I say go with your own.
You get to a point in the research where you feel like each religion shares a core something but otherwise is mired in cultural and geographical rules and superstition that really don't have anything to do with the Universal Truth - if you know what I am saying. Rather than pay lipservice to the half of the religion that you don't agree with, go it alone and embrace your spirituality fully and express it your own way. There are many paths to enlightenment.
Peace!

One of the first questions you must decide is what becomes the source of your authority. Is it you? Is it the Bible or some other religious book? Second, what are you trying to full fill? Are you seeking inner peace with God or maybe you are looking for deeper knowledge? Myself, even thought I have been very successful, I felt so empty inside. It wasn't until I had an encounter with God that actually provided purpose and meaning in life. The source of authority I use is the Bible.

I just read something recently that really struck home with me. "God made spirituality, man made religion". You can be spiritual anywhere you are. I don't think you have to be a church-goer to be a believer in God or to be a good person. Not that going to church is a bad thing because it helps many people to "get through the day".

There is only one religion you can be sure of. Read your bible and follow the Apostles because they taught only and I mean only the doctrine acceptable to the Lord God Almighty. If it isn't in the bible, don't believe it. If it is a different doctine than that of the Apostles, forget it. Pray Pray Pray and ask God to guide you and listen not to man but the Holy Ghost that is here to comfort us.

i in my view delight in gaining wisdom of roughly different religions. i attempt to learn as much as a threat so as that i will understand them, and because I see fee and something clever in each and each faith and theory device. some sense extra foreign places to me than others, and those that actively sell violence do frighten me somewhat, yet i does not say that i'm against any particular faith. There are techniques that i've got not got self assurance are precise yet i do no longer fault the religions or human beings belonging to them.

There is only one correct way.
13“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14“Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 17:3-4).
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)

Actually, I'm in the process of designing my own. It's alot of work, but I hope to fill a certain niche. Being transgendered brings home the perils of polarity. Being Pagan brings home the perils of conservatism. I'm working on a Pagan traditon that emphasizes continuums in all aspects of the human condition. It's not easy work, but I hope it helps people be themselves while living lives of service to humanity.

Well, it's not like making your own combo-religion is anything new...(oh, and Karl Marx said "religion is the opiate of the masses")
