It all depends on what you eat. Some vegetarians fill up on junk and then again some meat eaters do. I think they are equal if they both eat equally healthy. But we vegetarians do tend to weigh less. Even though we eat lots of carbs we eat less fat which has twice as many calories. I mean look at the asians, they eat tuns of rice and have meat (fish) 2-3 times a week and they are very skinny. I used to weigh 150 at 14 yrs old and went vegetarian and then went to 125. I ate the same foods just with out the meat.

I dont know specifically which set lives longer. I see a lot of benefits of eating a diet rich and plentiful of fruits and vegetables for the nutrition and anti-oxidant side of the house but i tried that once, a vegetarian lifestyle, and i felt tired, run down, like i wanst all there. I even worked into it, slowly letting myself off meat. But i would like to find an answer to that myself.

No average age span is 76 years; meat eater or vegetable killer. Make no difference. It is easier to digest a vegetarian diet though. So if you suffer from constipation switching to a vegetarian diet will help.

I think that living longer doesn't matter. It's the quality of life that matters and yes eating healthy would allow you to live a healthier life for a longer period of time. Moderation is key to everything. Don't over do it...quality over quantity.

depends upon which study that you read
Many other factors influence "lifespan" such as (but certainly not limited to)
1. family history
2. activity level (sedentary people usually die first regardless of eating habits)
3. Environmental Factors (smog etc)
4. Alcohol consumption
5. Cigarette smoking
6. Eating habits (ie- fried foods, caffeine consumption etc)

no, there is no difference because meat eaters/vegeatble eaters ( by the way people that eat meat don't only eat meat we are not carnivores) and vegetarians both get their nutrients in different way

no they don't live longer...other things other than age kill people..like cancer...STDs...heart disease...high cholesterol (hereditary)...but an interesting thing just to know is that it takes a week for a steak to digest because it has to rot in our gut...
