Girl you got problems. Okay go to wal mart and get a tub of cholesterol, its in the hair section. Its like 3 dollars for a huge jar. Dampen your hair and then coat it in the cholesterol and put a plastic bag around,it will hold in some heat which opens the follicle and helps it take in the moisture. You should leave it on as long as you have time to.Even after the first time you will see a significant improvement. You can use it as often as you like,it works great .

I am sorry to hear about your bad hair do...err, should I say hair dont. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I must say that you may want to consider seeing a professional to help salvage what you have left to work with now after over processing. Home kits never come with a guarantee. They are just cheap and quick. But if you want beautiful straight hair then you need to see a professional. The first thing you need to do is make a hair appointment...then get a deep conditioner that you can leave in your hair. The conditioner will help with the frizz and the knots and over time and continued use of deep conditioners it will help repair. But, most importantly, make sure you get in to see someone...they will be able to trim the damaged hair and make more suggestions on which products would be the best to use for your hair type. Hope this helps a bit....and remember this...you are not alone. People make hair mistakes ALL the time...I have been there more than once....unfortunately. Good Luck!

Oh girl I feel your pain! I did that several years ago. I had a perm that was about a year old that just would not go away! So I bought the at home straightener...only to learn it was for ethnic hair. And i'm light skinned and have blonde fine hair. Needless to say, my beautiful long, to the bra line hair was frizzed, fried and kinky up to my ears! And unfortunately, there isn't a product on the market, salon or not, that can tame it completely. You will need to get it cut. It is possible though, to maintain your length, get it cut into long layers. Supercuts (if you have one there) is reasonable in price...under $20. As for at home remedies to help regain some of your bounce, elasticity and shine...try the following.
Mayonnaise. Gross, I know...but helpful. Separate your hair into 3-4 ponys, depending on length and thickness. Then coat from the pony to tip with mayo, squeezing it in like you would hair color cream. then put on a plastic hair cap. Leave it on for a couple of hours, and then holding your breath (ugh) wash it out real good with your shampoo.
condition condition condition! After your regular shampooing, towel blot your hair and load it up on conditioner. Leave it in for an hour, then rinse it.
Avoid all hair products that contain alcohol: such as mouse, some gels, and creams. The alcohol will make it look more dry.
If you can stand it, twice a week before bed, rub vegetable oil into your hair strands, to the tip as you would with gel or cream. Sleep overnight with it in. Then shampoo.
God, good luck! You will need a good cut, but having any salon do anything more chemically to your hair is only going to make it worse. I hope this all helps!!
For quick relief though? Put on the cutest hat you can find. And for the time being, keep your hair in low riding pony's that are braided. :-)
And the nice thing about all this, it wont cost you a thing! LOL except for the trim you get eventually. I have kids too, so I understand the budget thing.

OMG u sound just like me! First of all make sure you have a good cut, some layers if you have thick hair, hopefully it's not too long. Mine is just past my shoulders. I always use strength/moisturizing shampoos and conditioners, try deep cleaning conditioners too! It's OK to leave a little conditioner in your hair before you get out of the shower, it acts like a leave-in conditioner. When it's wet, put in FrizzEase hair serum (try the purple little bottle, extra strength), like a few pumps for each side of hair. Next, I section my hair in four; first split in half-half hair on each shoulder, then on each side split the bottom and top half and clip them up(2 parts) Now you have 2 parts on the bottom. Clip one side and blow dry the other straight with a round brush. Then, that same side, blow dry that part, pulling the bottom away so it's easier. Then pull all that aside (yes it may be frizzy for now) and repeat for the other side. Now, like in the beginning separate your hair in 4 again. This time, using a straight iron, straighten the whole bottom. Then the top, pulling the bottom to the side(with a clip or so). Before you use a flat iron, make sure you use some sort of heat protector. I have Matrix Sleek Look Smoothing System. Also it matters what kind of flat iron you use-definitely try a ceramic one, like Chi or Paul Mitchel-pricey but totally worth it. Afterwards it should look pretty nice and straight, if you want to make it softer, try using BioSilk, works like a charm! Alright that's what I do and it works, hope it helps!

Deep condition your hair. Try buying those protein packs. They have some really good ones at Sallys. Try that for a couple of weeks. Or try some hot oil treatments. Use specially formulated shampoos and conditoner for dry damed hair. If none of the above works seek a professional.

Go to the salon and get a professional deep conditioning treatment done and the stylist can assist with the prob. You might need a hair cut as well to get rid of any split and damaged ends.

Yeah girl, that happened to my aunt. All I can say is, once it's damaged, it's damaged. First, you need to go to a professional and ask their opinion. If they can't do anything for you, here's what I suggest: Twice a week, massage oilive oil into your scalp, cover your head with a towel, and then blow dry your head until your scalp feels warm, then shampoo well. This will help the health of your hair, as well as greatly improve the speed at which it grows out. Meanwhile, you need to style your hair everyday to get it looking good. My aunt just straightened it everyday until enough healthy hair grew out.

If you try anymore harmful chemicals on it, its going to destroy the texture of your hair. Go see a stylist and get a deep conditioning treatment, they usually cost about 30-50 dollars. For your daily routine, try Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner for women of color. This is formulated especially for your type of hair. Plus, try to go to a professional when you want to relax or straighten your hair. In the long run, it's a good investment.
