I asked a girl to homecoming but ever since i asked her it has gotten a little bit awkward and i have trouble talking to her and their isn't much to talk about ( homecoming is on saturday ) i don't want to be a jerk and not go with her since i did ask her way way in advance... but i want to tell this other girl that i like her. even though i think she has a boyfriend. What should i do?

The responsible thing to do is to escort the girl you already ask out. If you cancel at the last minute, she will either have to go solo or find a replacement. Wouldn't it be selfish to cancel the date because YOU feel awkward around her and YOU want to ask someone else out who may be unavailable anyway?
Although my advice isn't exactly what you want to hear, it is the honorable and respectful thing to do. Homecoming is just a one night event so make the best of what it is with the girl you ask out initially. Thereafter, you won't have to think anymore of it and can concentrate on pursuing this other love interest (if she don't have a boyfriend that is).
Ultimately, your moral values and sense of responsibility will determine your decision. Whatever the case may be, I certainly do hope that you have fun.

You should really talk to her. Although I think if you asked her you should go with her, I mean you made plans already. However, if its gotten awkward shouldn't you go with someone who you are comfortable with? That's what i think you should talk to her about. That's the first thing you must take care of. Once that's settled, if this other chick you like has a boyfriend, then don't bother in making any move. So, you'll either end up going to homecoming with someone, or maybe youll end up dateless! : ) Hopefully, its the first one....wish you luck and have fun. :) Peace.

Well try and figure out if she has a boyfriend,and just go with the girl you asked.Then when another event like this happens go with the other girl unless you start going out with the first girl.
