Well, there's this girl in my class and she sits right next to me (its her assigned seat) and sometimes she just stares at me. I look behind myself to make sure nothing is going on, and there isn't. And when I stare at her, she makes no attempt to turn she just keeps staring at me when I look at her and she turns after about 7 seconds. Why?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I asked her best friend if she liked me and she said "that's her choice to tell you how she feels, not mine," I don't understand the logic if according to you guys is making it almost blatently obvious and I haven't figured it out after about a year. Also at none of these times did i have something on my face that looked abnormal or disgusting.

I think 7 seconds means she is horrified by your appearance. Like watching out the window as you drive past a car crash.
Pity, either 6 or 8 seconds meant she was into you.

Once I read this question, I thought because she liked you. But you say when you look at her she doesn't turn away for several seconds? That's weird. But I can't think of anything that would justify it. I guess she wants to let you know that she likes you and is waiting for you to make the first move, which is why she stares at you...a lot. you're probaly sitting below the clock and he or she keeps staring at time pass via by way of fact she is bored. human beings continually make the errors of thinking they are lot extra ideal looking thatn they realy are. Face dude you lost out to a clock so pass on. Or pass remote from the clock and notice what happens...

Someone just said the samething, but it was about a co-worker.
Since see stares at u u should wink at her, wave at her or stare back at her really hard and see who will break the stare 1st. And u can also ask her why she's staring at u so much.
She may like u or u may remind her of someone.But it would bother me too if she kept staring with out stopping even when she knows you've notice.

A lot of people have this tendency of studying facial expressions and body language more intensely than others. Especially if that person they are studying is a object of interest. Sounds to me like she's trying to get a rise out of you. She knows you asked her friend, that's a given. Now she's waiting for you to ask HER instead of her friends. If you feel uncomfortable make a little joke out of it and find a way to ask her is she's interested. And if you feel the same way...well then...you may have something there!

Well I like a guy and i find myself staring at him with out ever noticing it! Hes never talked me b/c we are both really shy. It makes me sad. enough of my life story... she probably likes you. Try talking to her. She might not relize that she is being really annoying. Dont give her a hard time about it though!!

She's staring at you because she wants you to talk to her. Usually, when a girl stares at a guy like that, she's inviting him to make a move. Smile or say hi next time.

The only thing I can think of is she's a deep thinker or that she was only looking past you at the wall or something, totally oblivious to you.
Now, if something more develops, I may change my mind.
