i don't know how you cured your cancer but to a doctor that's something hard to believe especially when they don't have a religion to rely on...doctors rely on western medicine to cure people not miracles or home remedies...so it's hard for a doctor to accept something like that...i think he gave you the lecture more as a thinking out loud and rationalizing for him...not for you..i'm glad you cured your cancer though...however you did it..

Many have been cured so a good doctor would not say that. Doctors are not god, they just administer drugs by what their knowledge is on the condition of your cancer.
No one knows what cause cancer so they really don't know what is going to cure a certain person, they only look a statistics on the drugs they use.

Before anyone can really comment we need more information. Are you positive you had cancer to begin with? What stage was the cancer? What grade was the tumor or tumors? What part of the body was affected by the cancer? Had the cancer metastisized? How is your general health?
People make these types of claims all the time. But can never back the claim up with any type of proof whatsoever. In general, people who make these claims are joking around or are after money.
The other possibility is that you are in remission, and the doctor knows from experience that the cancer may return. And when it does it will return with a vengence, in general when cancer comes back there is nothing that will stop its progession.
Good luck. You'll need it.

don't know how you cured your cancer but to a doctor that's something hard to believe since they see so many patience that have not been cured. Doctors rely on medicine to cure people not miracles or home remedies...so it's hard for a doctor to accept something like that since they go to school for som many years and the cancer research is also looking for ways to cure cancer. Maybe you need to contact the cancer society and let them know so they can pass it on to someone else. I have stage 3 cancer and I am undergoing chemotherapy.

Dear BCC,
Your oncologist sounds (unfortunately) like a number of so-called "specialists" do.
They can only see what's right in front of their own noses in lab reports, biopsies, c-t & pet scans, etc.
I've recently been through something like this w/my own---Now 'Former' oncologist.
As you already know, I'm officially diagnosed on paper as the dreaded "Advanced Stage-4 metastatic breast cancer patient, who's also under Hospice care.
I was also given the generic "6 Months at the most" terminal diagnosis---that was back in the very beginning of May--2005.
I just celebrated my 2nd Birthday under Hospice care, this past September.
I know I'm a still-walking Miracle!
You are right to claim your healing, BCC.
You, & every other one of us going through this life-walk, have the the right & obligation to do what works for Y-O-U.
It's very self-empowering to be the person who's calling the shots in our own Lives & treatment plans/options.
The Good News in all of this is that there are an increasing number of good/qualified Docs who not only believe in Spiritual & Alternative courses of treatments for Us---they also have the courage to buck their own healthcare system & encourage Patients & Loved Ones to keep going along those 'alternative' lines.
I say "More Power to You, BC; to You & All of Us!"
Take Care~ Tru :+)

Alot of docotors dont want to believe that cancer can be cured any other way then chemo or radiation and that some cancers are incurable. Im intereted in what cancer you had and how you cured it. It doesnt matter how the cancer goes just that its gone and you are healthy.

I would interpret his words to mean that he thinks you are wrong. He probably believes that the cancer is still there, but you just are refusing to accept it, and it will crop up again later and get you.
He didn't say he didn't want to KNOW. He said he didn't want to hear about it. His expertise is finding and fighting cancer, and he is losing a patient that HE thinks will eventually die from lack of medical care. So he doesn't want to listen to you talk about what he considers a hopeless situation.
I hope you are right, and God bless you.
Doctors are only human.

because most doctors dont believe in self healing or miracles....they think science and statistics outweigh the healing power of God or self healing. They prefer to believe that everything has a reason even when alot of times there is no scientific reason for anything that happens.....miracles happen everyday...yet some people choose not to believe them...Congrats on your good health! I hope your miracle continues. Best wishes and God Bless.

Just be sure you follow up every year or so, to make sure you're still OK. Good Luck, glad you came thru.

It has to be proven in the blood tests and diagnostic imaging. Doctors have to see it on paper and MRI scans. It's good you feel that way though. Keep up the good attitude.
