every year on the anniversary of my fathers passing..i light a candle in his honor at home. i also listen to some of his favorite music...or music that makes me think of him. i choose to make that day about him and all of the wonderful things i miss about him. surround your self with people who cared for him as well....i can guarantee this is a recipe for lots of laughter and tears. but the emotional release will do wonders for your healing process.

When my good friend passed away doing something she loved to do which was going to the casino. One year later a bunch of girls that she bowled with took a trip to the casino where she was at that night and played some machines in her honor. Any winnings we had we bought a drink for ourselves which is what she would have wanted us to do. That is something about my friend. For your father it could be something he really liked like maybe donating a book to the library in his honor. A book he would have enjoyed. Thanks

do something that would make him proud. If he loved nature plant a tree.If he was a writer donate his book(s) or some books to a library.call the people he was friends(and loved) with and say "Hi" for him.Donate time or money to some thing he felt strongly about.Remember to smile as much as you can for him on that day and silently thank him for all the thing he did for you and taught you.

my dad passed away 2,almost two years now. You can maybe do something that you used to do together. like maybe play his favorite songs or watch a movie that he would have liked to have watch. Light some candles in front of your house or windows, write a little poem about him and give them out to your family memebers with a photo of him. I hope it helped. Good luck and sorry.

My father passed away this year and someone told me to plant a tree or a bush in his memory. So in February that is what I want to do. Or just donate to a worthy cause in his name.

Maybe plant something that will continue to grow through the years, like a tree. Blessings to you, sweetie!
