I think that all Christian sects baptise. I think it's just a matter of when the baptisms happen ... at what age the baptisms take place. With Catholics, baptism happens shortly after birth, and a Confirmation of the baptism takes place when the person is older. Some other faiths baptise when the member is an adult.

Baptisms are for all Christians.
It is based on when Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist.
One of the main difference among Christians and Catholic is the role of Mother Mary. Catholics have special devotion to Mary, while Christians dont.

Actually the Catholic Church isnt much into Biblical baptism. Catholics "baptize" a baby then they are "confirmed" later in their life.
The Biblical model is to accept Jesus as Lord, then get a real baptism underwater. The word Baptism actually means "to dunk."

Baptism is for all Christians. The Bible is not as specific as to who may receive it, and there are many differing opinions. It also has different levels of meaning.... I cannot speak to the one which is most Biblical, but it does seem as though the Bible does not preach a Baptism that is exclusive to any denomination of the church, gender, or age.

It's for all Christians. Jesus said that it must be done. He did not say that only Catholics should do it. Even He was baptised. Therefore, as Christians, we follow in His footsteps and also participate in baptism.

When I was a baby, I was baptized as a Catholic, but when I was an adult and I chose to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I was baptized again as a Southern Baptist. The first time was because it is Catholic tradition. The second time it was my choice, because I wanted to symbolically identify myself with the death and resurrection of my Savior.
