Well, so far, tailsnnails is the only person who has the correct answer. I don't mean to sound rude, but it really bothers me when people just guess because most often the answer is wrong.
Heat cycles can be avoided by having your dog dog spayed, which will also lower the dogs risk to several types of cancer.
Thumbs up tailsnnails :-)

I have to agree with Liz, where on earth do these people get their answers....some of the are so far off. Granted there will be a large degree of variance, but goodness people, don't just guess or pull answers out of your butt!!!!
A dogs heat cycle will "normally" last an average of 21 days.
But, like with people, some heats may be 2 to 5 days longer or shorter.
The heat cycle itself "normally" happens every 4 to 7 months. It DOES NOT follow the seasons, she is just as likely to come in heat in the middle of winter, as the middle of summer. Again there can be a variance in the time between heats of as much as 2 months.
As a ***normal/most common*** heats happen every 6 months and last for 21 days.

Usually twice a year with each heat cycle lasting about 3 weeks. You shouldn't breed a dog until about 18 months and only once a year.

the typical female dog goes into heat twice a year. it lasts about 15 days. the first 5 she starts to give off hormones that attract males then she'll bleed for about 10 days. This will vary from dog to dog.

Heat cycles can happen every 6 months. Cycles usually last approx 3 weeks with about 2 weeks of bleeding. They are usually the most receptive closer to the end of their cycle, if your trying to breed.

My pit goes into heat about every 6 months. She usually bleeds close to 2 weeks. Although, just because tha bleeding stops doesn't mean they're not in heat anymore. After they stop bleeding they're still in heat 4 about a week & a half. Also, they're more prone 2 getting pregnant after tha bleeding stops.

it is often each 6-9 months that they are going to go into warmth and there are 4 tiers of the cycle. 'Proestrus' is the 1st degree and it is while bleeding will take place and a few swelling, this degree useally final between 7-10 days. 'Estrus' is the 2d degree and it is while mating can take place, often starts off between the 8th and 10th day after the 1st sign of bleeding, final useally 7-10 days. 'Diestrus' is the 0.33 degree, it is the 'going out of warmth degree'. 'Anestrus' is the final degree and is the fairly era between estrus cycles. The cycle lasts on generic of 21 days, from the commencing up of bleeding to the degree of going out of warmth. remember tho that canines can variety from one yet another and it is in basic terms a typical schedule. In some canines, it lasts in basic terms 2 weeks on a similar time as others go 4 weeks. could I propose getting your canines spayed/neutered. If she/he's not of intense high quality of the breed and you do no longer understand the bloodlines of your canines and others then its truly no longer a solid thought to reproduce, except you're a expert or are making plans to alter into one. * maximum lady canines have prevalent cycles often each six to eight months. It’s fairly everyday to be in warmth two times a year. * she gets pregnant in basic terms while in warmth. some breeders attempt for progesterone tiers to % out the main fertile days however the guideline-of-thumb is that the main fertile days are 11-15 of her cycle. notice – while she’s in warmth, the generic canines will enable any male canines to mount her. Few women human beings, although, will settle for a male while they’re no longer in warmth. * Even the final experienced and behaved lady canines will succumb to hormones. you are able to’t have confidence her off a leash or out of your administration. by no potential permit her outdoors with the help of herself even in a fenced backyard if there is any threat of male canines close by. For walks, if there are male canines on your community, it’s a solid thought to take your canines on your motor vehicle and tension to a distant section. Take her for the walk there and tension back homestead. in any different case, the heady scent of her urine and vaginal discharge will blaze a path on your place.
