When you curl it, keep the iron there for a minute or two. then after curling it spray lots of hairspray on your curls.

Use a soft hair cream right before you start curling it. Don't try any mousses or gels because they make your hair crunchy and look very fake. Or, instead of using a curling iron, try using the velcro rolls. At first when you take them out, your hair seems to be like shirley temple's. Simply shake your hair with your finger tips and smooth an additional DIME size cream over your curls. Use hair spray if you'd like to. Make sure the hair spray is the type that keeps a soft hold, since you already have cream in your hair. You can always get a perm, so your hair looks wavy 24/7!

There's several answers to that: a very good perm (but it usually really damages straight hair), use a lot of really good hairspray or gel (you can usually find the best at dollar stores) and then curl your hair, or put rollers in your hair overnight, but once more use lots of spray. You can get products, like gels and such, that claim to give you 'curls', but those don't work unless you already have a wavy hair pattern. Trust me, I've tried everything and I'm in the beauty industry.

there are alot of professional hair products on the market that will help keep curl and help to enhance the curl. You should ask your hair dresser for the correct product to keep the curl--I use products from Paul Mitchell and Kendra has a tub of product I use called Texturizing Taffy--that helps keep curl without getting frizzy.

well i would say mousse it while its still wet with a curly mousse and when it dries it should be curly....and then just go over it with the curling thongs once more to neaten it up. then hairspray it abit.

hmm, you might try a texturizer. Also maybe mouse/gel. A good hairspray is essential.
