Did I mess up?

Question

Okay. I posted a question yesterday and I was told that I may have blown it. A girl at my work asked me if I liked anyone there and I said no, but what i should have said is that I dont like anyone but I would like to get to know somebody- you know go from there.
So I hope it wasn't the guy I want it to be. Because I assume he is intersted in me. He stares a lot, either for a long time or looks away really quick. He acts nervous around me, but talks to everyone else. I tried talking to him and he just kinda mumbled and shrugged his shoulders. So.

However, there is another guy who stares at me, who I do not like and do not want to get to know. He is a moron. And that is the nicest thing I can say, so it could be him.
Did I mess up or was I right to think it could have been the other guy?

I should add that I think it was very strange of this girl to ask me this anyway.

You didn't mess up at all. The moron will be a moron always and a day...you already know that; and whether he likes you or not; not your problem dear.
The guy you like, that might like you....don't wait until somebody else sees he is special and goes for it. Walk up to him and ask him straight out if he would like to get to know you or not...then you will know and not keep wondering about it for months. If he says no, just shake it off and move on dear. At least you know for sure this way. And if he says yes, take it very slow. Office romances are tough if they fail. So go very slowly. Good luck dear.

just forget about it and move on. if you cant choose then they both lose.
