inner upper thigh. or bottom of foot. but if you ever get married im sure someone else will see it. :) or just below your underwear line. like on one side uf your hip. I will tell you any place that can not be seen by the public is usually very tender skin, and will most likely hurt, compared to rougher or tough skin, like arm or calves. my sympathy for the loss of your aunt though, and take care of yourself. :)

A couple of people have said the same thing that I am going to say so there must be something in it. I have a tattoo on my right hip - just below the bone - the only time it can be seen is when I wear bathers or if I show people - which can be fun and causes quite a furore when people think you are going to pull your pants down (but don't of course!). Every male that has seen it has commented on how sexy it is compared to tattoos on the breast.

I'd like to add that I don't think you should go for butterflies or roses as EVERYONE has them and I believe a tat is meant to be unique to you and is something you choose that has meaning to you - I have a blue stone encased in a celtic cage (sort of) - it represents the balance of good and evil - I'm good when its hidden and.....need I say more :). It's my own personal Bhelliom (from a David Eddings story)

whatever you do don't get it on your stomache! Cause if you ever ploan on getting pregnant, it aint gonna look pretty after! Try your butt, or behind ur neck. good luck! Oh, just a suggestion, take an aleve 1/2 hour before you go in to get it done. By the time the pain starts hurting REALLY bad, the aleve will kick in too.

How about a little butterfly (butterflies are free!) just above your heart where your bra strap will cover it. You could also have it done in her favourite colours. You must have loved her a lot, but she is still with you, in your heart, and watching over you.

I have one right by my hip bone, it's a little red moon, I did it myself.
It can only be seen if I show it or if I wear something really low cut.
I think it's a good place for something small and cute that you don't really want any one to see.

I got a tat on my upper thigh/hip area...that way it can be easily covered with clothing...or a sarong in a bathing suit, but I can look at it without a mirror :^)

well i have 5 and all i can cover. one is on my foot (mega pain wouldn't recommend it), one is on my right calf, 2 are on my back and one is on my right shoulder. i placed mine so i can show if i want or cover when needed, as well as i thought about it, and as i grow older those places on the body don't generally get much bigger or smaller or wrinkly as other places like the butt, tummy, or boob area. not to mention i don't think putting it on your belly. boobs or bum would be appropriate for a memorial tat.
