Trust me, Japan and Singapore Airlines are the best. They both fly into Shanghai and Beijing. I flew Japan Air from NYC to Shanghai last year for 1300 round trip. It's a bit more expensive than others, but you will get the BEST service. Since its such a long flight, you definitely need the friendly and VERY helpful staff. The downside however, is the food, it's good but, just more adjusted towards asian taste (but you're moving to china so, it would be good getting used to anyway). Have fun~I love CHINA

I wish I could move there too, I envy you, pleeeeeaaase find me a job there...
I use www.elong.net to get domestic and international bookings, usually pretty good in term of options and prices. For domestic flights, prefer mainland Chinese airlines.
