Try to get your focus off yourself and on what good you could be doing in this job. Is there someone you should be witnessing to, or something (patience?) you could be learning? You won't find another door opening until you've done what you're supposed to there. The sooner you learn to have a better attitude and learn and grow the sooner new doors may open. It's NOT easy, I know :) Your rewards are in heaven... God bless you. ~Nise~

First of all, there are many fish in the sea. I went through that. I wasn't Christian at the time. Suicide doesn't solve the problem. Listen, the problem is to purify an impure soul. 1. We were sent to Earth because our souls got dirtied and needed to be filtered. 2. Life's a process and Earth's a filter. 3. The filter has grains that take out impurities. We're purified through much suffering. 4. We expire from this Earth when the game is over. If we weren't filtered in time, it's our own fault. 5. Jesus Christ provides an easy road map to get through the filter and even prays that we stay the course through the entire process. I live for Christ because I go through this filter on a daily basis. My advice is to laugh things off and take things lightly. Don't let the devil get the best of you. If you want to know more, drop me an email.

How have you gone about dicerning that God has a plan for you there? Are you sharing this with a spiritual director or some sort of men's group? If He has a plan, then what is it? God does not place us into a situation just to make us miserable for no reason. And yes, we aren't placed on this world just to be happy, rather to gain eternal happiness with God and to bring others to that.
But look at long term what your goals are in life. Does this job provide the kind of salary that you need? Think about that.

I guess that I don't understand the situation that you are in. You are a person that believes in god, and is unhappy at the same time over some simple thing like changing jobs? You know your situation, and you know if you should or shouldn't Quit your job. It's an easy decision to make so why do you have this need to involve god, who is most likely more concerned about world hunger, the war in Iraq, and the aids problem.

This is only my opinion but God helps those who help themselves. If you are miserable look at other supermarket jobs or a whole new career together. If you stay at this job you will not only be making yourself miserable but the people you love the most. God wants noone to be miserable. Some people are & I can't explain why but everything happens for a reason so change jobs. If you're really miserable you can only get happier right?

I think we are all trained with the notion that we have to work whether we like the work it or not. It is a moral thing so you think God wants you to stay miserable. That answer you suspect comes from God is that negative training. I don't think it comes from God. We are fortunate to live in a society where we can choose our life style. Maybe God created that for a reason. If you hate your situation, change it.

In the word of God it says that we are going to be in a long!!!!!suffering, but he also says that those who seek him with a true and honest heart He will live in them. First wake up everymorning and pray you don't need to say a big prayer. Just tell him that you are thankfull for giving you another day to live and ask Him to guide you, protect you, and help through your day. When you accept Jesus as your savior. He forgives your sins and you become His son and He becames your God.When you confess and repent from your sins to the Lord he throws your sins down deep the ocean not to remmember them again.God wants the best for you He doesn't want you to suffer in any way. He loves you soo much that He gave his only Son, Jesus so we can have eternal life with Him. God gaves us the weapons to fight you want to know what are the weapons? Well first I'm going to tell that our fight and our problems is not with people is with satan, and his angels. So our fight is spiritual, we don't see what we are fighting with. Now I'm going to tell you what are the weapons that the Lord gaves us:Pray, fasting, and Read The Holy Bible these are the weapons that the Lord gave us to be Victorious. When you are in your job and there is something happening that is making you feel bad pray right away in your mind and BELIEVE in Him and be patience and he will give justice to you. BUT ASK WITH FAITH. The Lord has a porpuse for everyone. Just have faith in Him and deposit everything in the Lord. GOD BLESS

Ok, so you want to give up on God because you aren't getting your way? What about His way? Who knows better?
If God has told you that he has a reason for you to be there, then perhaps you should find out what that reason is. Maybe he wants you to learn to just be content where you are or to learn patience. Maybe there is someone he wants you to witness to before you are relased, or maybe you could save the life of customer in tragic potato land slide. :)
If you are really unhappy with your job, don't give up on God, but go out there and put out applications.
Until then, instead of waking up dreading to go to work everyday, instead wake up and say, "God, thank you for allowing me to have this job." It's hard to complain when you are being grateful.

I'm sorry you hate your job. My job isn't very rewarding, either, and I talk to God about it. Like you, I feel He has me there for a reason. Therefore, I have resolved to change my attitude. This will have to be done on a daily basis, and I will need to ask for God's continuing grace to be His servant every day, and not grumble. I commend you for seeking God, I'm glad that you know He has answered you, and I pray God give you the strength and the grace to do His will.

Just think of the story of Joseph - what if he had given up on God and said my brother's betrayed me and I am a slave in a foreign land - I give up!! I hate you.
He did his best in whatever he was given and keep his faith in God knowing that God had a bigger plan...and he eventually was the virtual ruler of Egypt. I am not saying stay with your job but more trust your feelings, be happy and look for the opportunity that God will eventually send to you. If you are sad instead of looking for what God has in store for you you may miss a golden opportunity. He is on your side!!!
