Do you mean 'pokerstars'? There is no 'pokerstarTs'

I play at PokerStars all the time, but for lower limits.
Now that Party Poker and PokerRoom no longer take US players, a lot of their business has moved to PokerStars and FullTilt. Party used to be the best place for "dead money" (players who were awful and therefore profitable). It isn't clear where the dead money is going and beginners may be less likely to start now than they did in the past.

In a nutshell, PokerStars is going to be at least as good as any other on-line poker room. They now have the #1 volume site, so you'll find action at the $5/$10 level. Whether they'll be a bunch of rocks is a different story.

Pokerstars is pretty famous for having some tougher ring games, though with the prohibition of online play moving players from other sites to stars it might loosen up a bit. Though stars is probably going to have the most volume right now, i would look for sites that offer more bonuses to sign up (usually as they are smaller sites and need to provide incentive). Though there will be fewer players, the players who are depending on that bonus money might not play it as tough as if it was their own money, and you get the added incentive of rake back on some of the smaller sites.

In the short term, there are lists which tell you which sites are a bit easier on competition, but for a while no one is really sure what all the added traffic to stars will do to the competion.

If you aren't in the US, try Fortune Poker. The 5/10 short handed games are INSANE. http://www.fortune-poker-rakeback.com will give you 30% rakeback.

If you are in the US, your best bet is probably Full Tilt Poker. http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/?aff=3425&code=?=0&ext=
