Hollywood Brands was the distributor. Hollywood was taken over by Chicago's Consolidated Foods in 1967, sadly marking the end of the Minneapolis nougat's Minnesota legacy.

It's likley as many types of Candy have been made. However, butternut sounds pretty good!

yes they stopped making it in the early 80's. it was similar to a snickers but of course with more of a buttery taste they were also thinner than a snickers. The same company made a candy bar called the milkshake that was similar to the milky way. ohh, good memories. I wish you could still find those.
