I wouldn't recommend a 19 year old get anything too nice because teenagers many times have fender benders and the insurance will be a killer alone for a 19 year old. I am not sure if you are the parent or a 19 year old looking to get a car, but I will tell you if you find something, call your insurance company for a quote before purchasing the car. The more expensive the car the more expensive the insurance, especially if you are talking about a new vehicle. It would be a real bummer to be pyshed to get a car only to find out you can barely afford the insurance because you are combining a luxury car/suv with "inexperienced" or "young" (whatever they call it these days) driver rates. I found a beautiful used VW Jetta years ago when I was 19...and the insurance would have cost me as much as the car. It was very disheartening so please check that as well...its something many don't think of.

No SUVs at all. Too tipsy for a novice driver.
Why does a 19 y/o need a luxury car anyway? They need to be concentrating on learning to drive, not on all those gadgets. Too distracting...

I don't know anything about the specs your looking for but here's a few places you can start: With luxury cars - start with Lincoln, Cadillac, or Lexus. My next vehicle is going to be an SUV and I'm starting with Saturn, Honda, and Toyota.

I would recommend none. Get an used car first and learn to drive well before moving up to luxury.

I would go with a vulvo or a saab. If you need a luxury car, they are the safest. The germans really know how to make some really good safe cars.
