I am going to shave my head. I could use some advice from those who do.
1. How often do you shave your head? As often as your face?
2. Do you shave your face and head at the same time, like AM?
3. Do you wash your head after shaving?
4. Do you use something like an after shave?
5. What is the over all feed back you get; positive or negative?
6. Is there anything else that I should know?

If you're not sure about it, try buzzing it really short first. If, after a few days, you are comfortable with it, and like the shape of your head, go for it. Get a seperate razor for your head, and replace the blade often, as it will get dull quickly.Do it at night, so that any scrapes or scratches (and there will probably be a few, until you get the feel of it) will heal by morning. If your hair is thick, and grows straight out, you probably won't have any problems. If it is thinner, and/or curly, DO NOT shave against the grain, as this may cause ingrown hairs (itchy-itchy!). If you are already prone to ingrowns, do not put that blade on the back of your neck! Buzz that area with your clippers. Until you, and your skin, attain some toughness, apply a damp, hot towel to your scalp for a few minutes to soften the hair. You can use a foam, gel or shave-soap (your choice), but do not use old scraps of bar-soap - it just doesn't work. If you choose to use an after-shave, do so at your own risk (it burns). I prefer to apply a moisturizing skin 'toner' (check out the drug store shelf, near the lotions). Some people like to 'dust' their head with a talc, or baby powder - it's alright, but your scalp will feel dry and tight for a little while. If you are looking for a good 'shine' use a dab of lotion, cocoa butter or one of the new 'body butters' (carefull - too much just looks 'greasy'). As for feedback - it's not about how you 'look'. It's about the sexy-confidence that you exude, now that you don't have to worry about your hair being out of place...and no more worry about the bald spot! Oh, yeah: In the summer DO use a sunscreen on your dome - trust me on this.

If you are considering it, why don't you just do it? Hair grows
back especially in places that are not attractive. And it grows
back fast. It's better than a ten strand comb over, and you can always throw a cap on if you are mortified. Chances are you
will receive alot of compliments. Have you even seen Queer Eye for the Straight Guy? Good Luck...it's really not a big deal to those who don't suffer from hair loss. As a matter of fact some
people have to much and need to get layers or thinning shears.

this is very nearly no longer conceivable to get a perfect shave with something below a finely honed instantly razor. i have been shaving my head for an outstanding ten years now, and the perfect razor i have ever used is a cheapo shop variety, unmarried blade disposable. i imagine the softer texture of the hair doesn't paintings a similar way as facial hair with multi-blades, yet it is in basic terms my opinion, in accordance with no longer something.

My husband shaves his head every other day. He does it in the shower and shaves his face at the same time. He uses fusion gel with the fusion razor. Usually uses lotion afterwards. He looks gooooood.

My husband shaves his head...daily...I find it VERY sexy!!! He shaves whenever he shaves his face...He showers AFTER shaving face/head...and uses aftershave on both! He skips a day when he doesn't have work..but usually shaves the night before so he can just jump in the shower...

His EX wife, *****...and his mother hate it! Makes it worth it!!!LOL

Like I said...He's extremely SEXY...I love to watch him shave...
