Definitely Ireland....I could never imagine the beauty of it rivaled to anything or anyplace else. ......call me a dreamer if you like, i just feel that my soul is fed by it, by the lush green, the wide open spaces and then the metro activity that i would take in but small doses....yes, Ireland for me.
I am smilijng, you make me feel as though i am more than half way there flying on some undiscovered wind.

Eastern Manatee County, Florida. You are less than an hour to the Gulf Beaches and Tampa Airport, 90 minutes to Orlando's theme parks and less than 4 hours from the Keys to the Georgia-Florida border and all places in between. Prices are reasonable - you can still pick up a home on acreage(!) and have room to roam. Crime is low, schools are good.

I've heard that Arizona is one of the best places to retire, but not sure I'd want to be hot and hopping on tables from lizards the rest of my days. I think I would love to be on an ocean front somewhere is a big breezy house that has a view of the ocean from every balcony. I would want to be surrounded by family and friends and to be somewhere where it isn't to busy but not to quiet.

Best Wishes...and please share your special retiring spot!!??!!

If money and immigration were not an issue I would love to retire in the US to be near my brothers and sisters.
