... people like to work as Freelancers?

I'm thinking of moving in to US... and will need to contract people... but wanna know if people work as freelancers frequently in US.

And what state should I move to... so I can find more freelancers!?

Have a great day

(this is travel category 'cause of the moving question)

Yes... I have permission to live in US...

And the freelancing business would be related to advertising!

Tks, and sorry for the lack of info

Unfortunately, you did not state what occupation you want to do your "freelancing" in, so your question is somewhat difficult to answer. What did you actually have in mind?

OK, thanks for your message. If you are legally permitted to reside in the U.S., I assume that by "freelancing" in the advertising business you are probably thinking of doing artwork for Advertising Agencies? What else is there?
I would guess that the largest Advertising Agencies would cluster in New York City, but why would you want to be among other freelancers? The pie is only that big, and they would want a slice of it, too. It would not be a wise move to join a crowd of people each competing with everyone else, I think.
As far as everything else is concerned, nothing is going to stop you, so go right ahead.

That all depends on the type of work you are talking
about. There are a lot of reporters who do freelancing.
They will sell their stories to the highest bidder.
Photographers will do the same. So will authors.
Just make sure you are in this country legally. Most
Americans take a dim view on illegals.

First of all, are you legally permitted to move and live in the U.S? Secondly, what the hell is a "freelancer"?
