Sorry for your loss. Death is hard on the family anytime but when you have to deal with financial problems, it can be overwhelming.
First of all, if you or your siblings have not co-signed or otherwise legally indebted yourself in someway to his debts, you are not liable personally. If he had any assets, property, etc, then whomever is executor of his estate needs to pay as much as possible from the estate monies.
Beyond that, or if there are no assets, just write "deceased" on the bills and return to sender.

If you are in Victoria ?Australia) you need to contact the Supreme Court. Find out if your dad had a power of attorney. You are not responsible for his bills, but the Supreme Court can appoint someone to take the responsibilty, and pay for all these on the sle of the assets.
good luck

I do not think you are responsible but you need to check with a probate or family law attorney. I am sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Good luck and god bless.

try asking your state for assistance, alot of states with help you.also this is for you because of your dads death.
My Dad
My dearest dad 'I love you',
I think of you each day.
I feel your arms around me,
that's how I get through my days.
Your looking down upon me,
to guide me on my way,
but its very hard without you,
each and every single day.
People always tell me,
the grieving will subside.
But how can I feel better,
without you by my side.
No matter how hard they try,
there is always so much pain,
I am all consumed by thinking,
It will never, be the same.
I know one day we'll meet,
in the Heavens up above.
It's the only thing that helps me,
to never forget, your love.
My dearest Dad, I love you,
Your with me every day.
I will keep this love within me,
forever, until that beautiful day.

no you kids are not responsible for your fathers debts unless you agreed to guarantee them. those bills should be turned over to the executor of his will to be settled
