I am too lazy to do anything with my life. I feel unmotivated to study, read, or even do what i love to do which is right. I spend a majority of my day sleeping or wasting time doing nothing because my body feels so worn out even though I know it isn't. Is this normal, and so i just need to push myself to get things done or is something wrong with me?

If i push myself to do something I love to do, i'll end up hating it because it'll feel more like a chore than fun.

you're NOT alone in this one. and NO, you're NOT just lazy, as some people think u might be. i suffer from the same "bouts" of "feeling" lazy and im in no way lazy--
somewhere along the way our bodies clicked into the hybernate mode. are you hyperactive before this happened? i was perpetually in motion before i got married. then all of a sudden marriage and pregnancy and child rearing kept me home-- i love being a mom BUT what im trying to say is, if you made a sudden shift in your lifestyle (or a gradual but total shift from the way it used to be), your physical body reacts in a psychical way-- same goes when you lose a friend, when you break-up with a gf, or if u stopped doing even just one thing that you used to love doing so much, your body might react to that particular loss or change by going on hybernate mode.
i didnt realize what was wrong with me at first until i finally narrowed it down to the change of lifestyle. i cant go back to my career-- i didnt feel like it. no motivation to go back to it. so i did a major change for the POSITIVE and changed careers by going back to the university. i met a lot of people and got out of my hidden "depression" -- now im doing fine. i still get the "lazies" time and again and i now take that as a signal that im missing out on something in my life.
i hope you find out what's bogging you down. a li'l soul-search might do it for you. good luck.

Uh...sounds like a major depressive disease to me. You might not think so, but it sure does seem like it. Try talking to a doctor or therapist and getting on some meds. Sometimes medication really can help you, but only if you are suffering from a chemical imbalance in your brain. If you think it will help to push your self, go ahead and try, but not if you think that will wear you out even more. Try doing things like setting a goal, ie. if I get my laundry done today I can crash on the couch and watch a movie, or if I read this chapter and do the homework I can go grab a something to eat a (insert favorite eatery here). I would try self motivation before getting on meds, but you should do what ever you think is necessary to help you feel better. The longer you have been feeling this way the bigger the chance you may need medications. I really hope you can work though this.

It sounds like you might have some sort of depression. I've been through this so many times. Once you can get yourself up and out of the house and you start doing things you'll feel great. If the weather's nice- make yourself walk. If nothing's working, get to a doctor and see if you can try taking an anti-depressant until you get over this hurdle. There's NOTHING "wrong" with you- you're going through something that people sometimes go through. Not everything in life is easy and fun- sometimes we find ourselves in a funk and just need some help out of it.
Good luck and don't give up. It feels great to get feeling better- and you will!

You do need some motivation, as sleeping in bed will accomplish nothing except, perhaps, depress you

Nah, not at all... sounds like a sunday... and when everyday is sunday, why ruin it by making it cloudy...
and leave out the MEDS, they're a slow-tightening noose on your soul...

You should see your doctor. There is likely a physical or emotional problem causing your exhaustion. Good luck.
