No,

First Crossing the boarder illegally into the US is a REAL criminal act,
Second how do they PROVE they paid taxes.
Third they have already shown by their actions that they do not respect the laws of the US why would we expect them to follow our other laws?
Forth giving illegals amnesty will just bring in more illegals, because they would have proof that if they wait long enough they will become citizens.
Fifth How do they PROVE they've been here 2 years, give me a little time I and can provide PROOF that I lived in Canada for two years, a little money here and little money there and I'd have a line of people to prove I lived there. Along with the documents to prove it.
Sixth and last if they really want to become citizens, all they need to do is go back to their own country and apply to come in legally.

I want immigrants to come here just do it legally just like my grandparents did.

There are way too many illegal immigrants in this country and I feel it is because the process of becoming a legal citizen is way too long and expensive. The majority of these immigrants come from Mexico, where there president encourages his citizens to cross over illegally because their government cannot support them. I don't think it will work to give amnesty to all 12 million illegal immigrants, but it seems our government has given up and accepted that nothing can be done to correct this problem. They are only concerned with future immigrants and determined to build a wall which I personally don't think will make a big difference. No matter where they came from, they are still humans and are trying to live the American Dream. They should not get preferential treatment over US-born citizens, nor should they be given preferential treatment over immigrants who are following the appropriate steps to become a legal citizen.

Do you know how many illegal aliens we have in the USA. The government don't really know how many illegal aliens are in the USA but there are estimate that they are over 12+ millions. Do you know that if all of these 12+million illegals get amnesty they could send for the rest of their families and they will be around 40+millions of foreign in our country. We also have to understand that the majority of these people are poor, uneducated, with deceases and looking for work. And because they are poor and uneducated their salaries are not going to be that high and the majority of them will qualified for food stamps and who do you think is going to pay for all of this, the American people. Remember they are still going to be sending their money back to their country of origin and that will drain more our economy. Now is this what you want, pay more taxes, low wages, over crowd of our schools, hospital closing for lack of funds, etc, etc. Is this, you think is the best for the United States. Remember they don't want to contribute to our country, all they want is to drain our economy. They don't want to become true Americans, their love is for Mexico, you see this when they march in our cities carrying their countries flags, not only Mexicans but the rest of the illegals that march with them.

I think we should give amnesty to illegals that have been here more than 5 years. Have a clean background check, know english, have contributed to the economy and pay a fine. However, we should close our borders with a big fence and increase the security, we already have enough illegals.

No.

The law is the law. And sending them back HOME where they belong is not a harsh punishment.

But letting them cut the line in front of LAW ABIDING immigrants who do things the right way certainly is a punishment - but it punishes the wrong people.

FYI, most illegals don't pay taxes. They work for cash and undercut our labor market - many while collecting social services and bleeding our system dry.

And I don't think those marchers last spring who carried the MEXICAN flag, while stepping on and burning the American flag were interested in American culture.

Yes, that is if the illegal will accept a background check. If they have a family here and accept that a background check is done, then if he comes as a criminal then make him do time, but let his family stay.
Any America that says no to that basically is a racist and doesn't want any Mexicans here at all. Why do you think the Republicans want to harden the Natuarlization process, they're racists. Nothing more can be said.
Illegal: I'll take a background check and go through the Naturalization process if you let me and my family stay. Are lives are horrible in Mexico
Republican: No...you and your family need to get out of this great country. I know you broke your back here in America just to be able to feed your family, but I want you to go back to Mexico and drink filthy water live in a house that has no carpets or roof. And stay out.

Racists

No I don't. I strongly feel that if someone wants to come to our country they should take the time to fill out the proper forms and do it all legally. If I tried to pull that crap in another country they'd laugh me right back to America.

How does an illegal person plan to prove how long they've been here in documentation, btw?

Nope 10-15 years maybe, plus pay a hefty fine and pay an amnesty tax until said time they are citizens. I like the rest of your requirements though.

yes we should because you know everyone deserves the right to better their selves. also ever-time they go in a store to spend money they pay taxes. i also think you know they work money comes out of their check for taxes, social security, medicare, also i know a person work here for 40 years and was legal now his wife and children cannot get anything because their not citizens "so were does that money go" he work all his life here and he was legal. i believe his children should get what should be theirs. also you know i been to MEXICO several times to the parts were their is no work. if some of these people here that is to lazy or scared to get their hands dirty had to make do and do without just for a little while they would change their attitude. if they would just open their eyes and see god made us all. people that judge other people on account of their race needs to pray hard for forgiveness. yes this country was built if you want to be free and make a good life for your family the U.S.A. IS THE PLACE SO WHY DO CERTAIN PEOPLE WANT TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THIS IS THE WAY WE ALL FEEL BECAUSE I WILL TELL YOU IT IS NOT. AND THE GOOD WILL WIN AT THE END . if you don't like it you go live with dirt floors and without carpet and wood roofs because everything these people does have they work for their damn proud of it. so take that to hell with you because if you keep on you will be with the devil not god.

Why do you think people who have been in the U.S. illegally for 2 or more years deserve amnesty? Do we reward lawbreakers for how long they've been doing it??

"Well, gee, that guy's been raping for 15 years, let's give him amnesty for his life of crime longevity...."
it's ridiculous.

If a person is an illegal, it doesn't matter if he's been here 30 years, he's still illegal.
