block him out of your system. dont talk to him for at least a month. cuz if you do you'll start feeling sad and missing him and stuff. so just ignore him for awhile.. its really the only way to get over him

I've had the exact same situation happen within the past year. It's not easy. Everyone says "Time", but if you really care for someone you still have feelings for them long after you break up. The best thing to do is focous the attention you would give him, on something or someone else. You're feelings for him probably wont change until you find someone else that helps fill that space. As far as staying friends... Thats almost harder. It seems that one of the two always wants to get back together, while the feelings arn't returned. Thats where finding someone else comes into play again. If you do those things (find a hobby, date around, and give it some time) then you should start to feel better. Best of luck.

was it a bad breakup or was it something he suddenly decided? if a bad break up give him some time and space. then try to be a friend again nothing more for now. its obvious you had no real say in what happened so if he decided to end it try talking to him to find out what went wrong. but if your just walking away you just need to start dating again. it will be hard but if you let someone else in the pain will lessen quickly so you can get on with your life. i wish you the best of luck for the future:)

Focus on other priorites in your life to help keep your mind off of him. Go out and have fun with your friends. Do you have any hobbies, interests? It's a good time to try something new. Things will get better over time by focusing on good things in your life and not obsessing about it. It's not a good idea to stay in contact with him until you are over him.

Well, it's very hard to get over someone....trust me I know...I'm going through the same thing, I just can't keep him out of my mind.....The best thing to forget someone is time, only time can heal all the heartache......And try to keep busy, when you find yourself thinking about him, try to do something else that doesn't require you to think.....and about being friends....tell him to give you time, tell him you're not ready to be his friend yet....or if you think you can't be his friend, just be honest with him....he'll give you the credit of honesty, that is very important "honesty"....so be true to yourself and do all you can to forget him.......Good Luck

The only way to get over someone is to stop being around that person and give yourself some time to heal.
