Hi and thank you for your time, I have a dog who will drink some water out of his bowl and then he will put his paws in and like umm try to dig the water out it looks like what can i do?

If you dont want Him to do this put a rock in the bowl, Big enough so he cant swallow it, but small enough so he cant move it and can drink the water. And after a while the dog will stop trying.

He's just being silly. Move his bowl to a place where the water can be cleaned up easily. If you're seriously worried ask your vet or dog trainer. But it sounds harmless to me. Dogs do funny things sometimes. My dog would always leave a piece of food in the doorway before he ate the rest in his bowl. Then when he was done eating he'd go and eat the piece he left in the doorway. He did this every day. We thought it might be his ceremonial offering to the dog gods!

If possible, secure the bowl to the floor so it doesn't tip over and make a mess, but other than that, he's probably just having fun. Try getting him one of those hard plastic kiddie swimming pools and let him have fun in that during the summer. Maybe he'll grow out of it.

Take a picture or a video that sounds so cute and funny. Have you tried different water bowls, does he do it regardless of what type of bowl? I wish I could be of more help. If there is a local human society or ASPCA you can call them and get free advice, they may have more insight.

You pick up the bowl and put more water in it. Dogs think it is fun.

My dog does that too. He has a bucket he drinks out of but he does still do that sometimes. I dont think you can stop ur dog from doin that.

My dog does it cause he's hot so before i give him water I spray his belly cause it cools him off then he wont play in the water

He's bored -- more exercise. Put less water in his bowl more frequently.

WELL IF U WANT WANT THE DOG TO STOP U HAVE TO KEEP IT FRESH CAUSE THATS THE REAson they Do that because they want to stay fresh all dogs do it so try keepin it cool!!

i can already tell. a puppy right?
its normal. my puppy did it. now its gone. itll wear out. or get him a smaller bowl?
or take him to a pond and see how the big bowl feels.
