i have this problem with youtube.com...it says i can't view videos because i haven't downloaded macromedia flash player or java is turned off...but i have both of those things and its still not working..i've messed with the java controls and made everything work.......but i still can't get it to work help??/

it might be you dont have the up to date version of flash player, or java.

Two things you might want to try -
first, clear out the java cache -
do this by going to start > control panel (or settings/control panel)
click on java
down at the bottom right, you'll see "delete files".
click on this, and make sure everything is checked.
then click ok. then close the windows, and start your browser again.
If you have java plug-in instead of java
click on java plug-in, then click on the tab called cache
click on clear (right side)
close the windows, the open the browser again.
What this will do is to clear out any old files that could be causing an issue.
If that doesn't work, you'll want to check the system requirements on youtube, to be sure you have the right version of java. You could also go to www.java.com/en/download and download the latest version (but be sure that your machine can do that - if it's an older machine - like 5 years - or mac, you may want to think twice)

ok, the exact same thing happened to me...I tried everything but nothing worked. I finally get to see the vid's on youtube now and the way I do it is. I just use a different search engine called Mozilla Firefox.....instead of using yahoo ...from their page I go to youtube and" tada".....no problem....try it...Hope this works for you....... good luck... ;)
