Yes it is, just look in the paper and most barrtending jobs will train you themselves. 500 plus for something you can learn on line, they look for jobs for U, that is really what you are paying for. You can find a job on your own.

Unless your gonna go to Las Vegas and work at a casino where it's all unionized and you'll need to get TIPS certified,you wont learn squat and all bars do things differently.

my advice to u is this. get a job waiting tables at a resturant that has a bar. when a postion becomes available ask to be trained. that's how i did it. the schooling is a joke because everyones pour is different and most bars and resturants have different specs on their drinks!
