It's a proven fact that it does work, it's a strategy through cognitive behaviour therapy, the theory is that if you write down your thoughts it will be tranferred through the paper and it wont bother you, also you can look back on your thoughts at a later time.

yes writing down your thoughts can help you relieve stress. Writing is a good outlet to release or lighten up whatever is stressing you out. I'd also suggest listening to music and nature sounds since those can also be therapeautically effective as well when you're stressed out

do something anything where you'll break a sweat. it's Nature's Anti Depressant. Do some heavy yardwork, go for a really long walk or bike ride, crank up the music and DANCE. Scream into your pillow. You are stressed because there is too much energy in you. Get that energy out.

I find that it helps me. Because usually when i'm stressed i have so many things going through my head that if i write it down i can think about it all separately.

not really. i mean like it doesnt exactly relieve my stress, but it helps me through it, whenever i write something, i reread it over and over until i get it. until im sure of it. until its pure. that probably makes no sense, but im just saying what i feel.

i find myself writing down my thoughts alot lately, it seems to help. I blog not caring if people look, i just do it to vent
